Last year's Skipton Colour Run raised nearly £6000 for The Skipton Academy PTA & Friends.

The money has been spent on enriching the students school experience at The Skipton Academy, from contributing to field trips, props and costumes for the fantastic Matilda show, the class of 2025 leavers prom and service, new additions to the sports curriculum and new tables.

We're proud to be a part of Utilita's Football Rebooted campaign!

Being part of this fantastic campaign will help our families reduce uniform costs and help the environment.

You'll find our Boot Donation Box at the entrance of the school gym and we're asking you & the wider community to bring along any unwanted but good-condition football boots/astro trainers to donate. If you are donating boots from the wider community these can be dropped off at the school reception.

Across the UK, thousands of quality boots are sitting unused - or worse, being thrown away - while others struggle to afford a pair. By donating, you can help our students get back on the pitch and keep perfectly good boots out of landfill.

Every time a pair of football boots or trainers is made, around 30lbs of carbon is generated, having a detrimental impact on the environment.

Football Rebooted aims to rehome one million pairs of 'pre-played' football boots and AstroTurf trainers, not only saving families a fortune and stopping boots going to landfill, it will save 13,636 tonnes of carbon! This is the equivalent of turning the energy off in one million medium -sized homes for over a week or taking nearly 10,000 cars off the road for a year!

Boots donated will be made available for any students in need of boots or forgotten boots etc...

Together, we can make football more affordable, more accessible and more sustainable.

The Bradford and Craven NHS Mental Health Support Team are running online parent and carer support groups each half term this academic year. They cover a new wellbeing topic each meeting, inspired by the Five Ways to Wellbeing, and share practical tips and ideas. It’s also a chance to connect with other parents, share experiences, and support one another.
