Hello, Colleen here from 3rd Skipton Squirrels! We are in desperate need for a couple of amazing volunteers to join our wonderful team.
We meet Sunday mornings at Skipton Town AFC at 10am, you don't need to have any prior scouting experience to become a leader, just enthusiasm and joy for teaching young people important skills for life. There is no obligation to attend every Squirrel meeting however if we cannot find additional leaders we do run the risk of not being able to run some weeks due to a lack of leaders meaning we cannot maintain our ratios of 1:6.
It also helps our section leader with planning an amazing program for our young people to enjoy!
If you are interested in joining please get in touch via our website at https://3rdskiptonscouts.org.uk/join/volunteers
DBS and starter training provided by us free of charge to you.
Please help us keep this amazing program going!
Thank you

Junior Warrior 2026 - Well done to all the Cubs and Scouts who participated in Junior Warrior 2026 at Bramham Park yesterday. It was an exciting and muddy obstacle race that challenged everyone to step out of their comfort zones. The event taught valuable life skills such as teamwork, resilience, confidence, and determination. Everyone showed great courage, even when tackling the stinky mud, and supported one another through every challenge. It was a fantastic adventure and a memorable experience for everyone involved.👏

The 3rd Skipton Scouts took part in this year's Skipton gala parade 2026, where our theme was Scotland, and we were delighted to be awarded 3rd Prize for our float decorations🥉👏
Our float featured Highland cows, the Loch Ness monster Nessie, beautiful Scottish mountains, squirrels and beavers, while our Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and leaders all embraced the theme with their tartan scarves.
All the young people had a wonderful time. It was a fun-filled day of creativity, teamwork and learning, making memories together and celebrating the spirit of Scouting within our community.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped design, build and take part in making the day so special. Well done, 3rd Skipton Scouts
