📢 Skipton Youth Safety Survey 2026

As part of our ongoing Youth Safety Campaign, Skipton Youth Council is inviting people of all ages to share their views on how safe they feel in Skipton.

Your feedback will help us better understand local experiences and identify areas where improvements can be made. The results will be used to support discussions with local partners and help shape the future work of the Youth Council.

Whether you live, work, study or regularly visit Skipton, we would really value hearing from you.

🌿 ECO Day 2026 🌿

A week on from ECO Day, we would like to say a huge thank you to Skipton Rotary, North Yorkshire Council Waste Services and everyone who stopped by the Skipton Youth Council stall.

Throughout the day, residents took part in our Recycling Challenge, shared environmental pledges on our Pledge Tree and learnt more about recycling and waste reduction. It was fantastic to speak with so many people about environmental issues and the work taking place across our community.

We would also like to congratulate Amy, the winner of our Eco Hamper, which included a range of environmentally friendly products and prizes.

Thank you to everyone who supported the event and helped make the day such a success. We look forward to continuing our environmental work throughout 2026.

Young people across Skipton are being invited to share their views and help shape the future of the town as part of the Town Investment Plan.

SE​LFA have created a short questionnaire to gather ideas, opinions, and priorities from young people.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported Skipton Youth Council at our Easter Event on Saturday 🐣

We had a fantastic turnout, with so many families getting involved in our Easter Trail and activities throughout the day. It was great to see such positive engagement from the community.

A special thank you to the local businesses who supported us and helped make the day possible, your contribution is greatly appreciated.

Come along and support Skipton Youth Council at the Canal Basin today! 🐣

We are here until 3pm with our free Easter Trail, perfect for families and young people to get involved.

Pick up an activity sheet, complete it, and return it to receive a free Easter egg 🍫

🎁 You could also WIN an Easter hamper, including:
🐦 Make your own bird house
🌱 Seeds to grow your own vegetables
🍬 A selection of sweet treats

It is a great way to enjoy some Easter fun and meet members of the Youth Council.

Skipton Youth Council will be hosting a stall at the Skipton Easter Event on Saturday 4th April at the Canal Basin, from 9.30am to 3.30pm 🐣🌸

We will be running an Easter themed treasure trail style activity, where you can complete a short activity sheet and return it to our stall to receive an Easter egg prize 🍫🥚

It is a great opportunity for families and young people to get involved, enjoy a bit of Easter fun, and meet members of the Youth Council to learn more about the work we do in the community.
