A great afternoon at Inspire Youth Yorkshire today!

Our Chairman, Noah Garbutt, joined Katie O’Donnell, Chairwoman of Knaresborough Youth Council, and Max Kelly, Chairman of Harrogate Youth Council, for a planned music workshop at the Inspire Youth Yorkshire Community Hub.

Alongside taking part in the workshop, it was a really useful opportunity for the three Youth Councils to come together, share ideas and talk about how we can work more closely across our different areas in the future.

It is always great to build connections with other Youth Councils across North Yorkshire and to see young people working together to make sure our voices are heard.

A big thank you to Inspire Youth Yorkshire for welcoming us. We are excited to see what comes next! 😊

🎉 Looking Back at Sheep Day 2026 🐑

Although a little later than planned, we’d like to take a moment to look back at another fantastic Sheep Day.

Skipton Youth Council had a brilliant day meeting members of the public, speaking with local organisations and running our tombola, which was kindly supported by a number of generous local businesses.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who visited our stall, bought a ticket, had a chat with us or supported our work throughout the day. Your generosity helps us continue representing young people across Skipton and the surrounding area.

We’d also like to thank every local business that kindly donated prizes to our tombola. Your support was greatly appreciated and helped make the day such a success.

Finally, thank you to Skipton Town Council and everyone involved in organising another excellent community event. We look forward to taking part again in the future.

🌿 ECO Day 2026 🌿

A week on from ECO Day, we would like to say a huge thank you to Skipton Rotary, North Yorkshire Council Waste Services and everyone who stopped by the Skipton Youth Council stall.

Throughout the day, residents took part in our Recycling Challenge, shared environmental pledges on our Pledge Tree and learnt more about recycling and waste reduction. It was fantastic to speak with so many people about environmental issues and the work taking place across our community.

We would also like to congratulate Amy, the winner of our Eco Hamper, which included a range of environmentally friendly products and prizes.

Thank you to everyone who supported the event and helped make the day such a success. We look forward to continuing our environmental work throughout 2026.
