Kirsty & Sharon had a brilliant time today at the Craven College Fresher's Fair and it was so nice to meet and chat with so many students.

We loved sharing more about our Skipton Youth Club & Glusburn Youth Club, opportunities for young people across Craven, and the different ways people can get involved with North Yorkshire Youth.

It was also great to see so much interest in our volunteering opportunities for both young people and adults.

Kirsty will be in touch soon with everyone who asked for more information.

A huge thank you to Craven College and all the students who made us feel so welcome today, we really enjoyed being part of it!

Do you enjoy working with young people and creating fun, welcoming spaces where they can be themselves, make friends and build confidence?

North Yorkshire Youth is looking for a Youth Worker to join the team at Skipton Youth Club. 💚

📍 Skipton
🗓️ Tuesdays, 6.30–8.30pm
⏰ 2.5 hours per week
💷 £13.54 per hour (£26,403 per annum pro rata)
📚 Term time only

As a Youth Worker, you'll help plan and deliver engaging activities, build positive relationships with young people and create an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

We're looking for someone who:
✔️ Has experience working with young people
✔️ Is committed to safeguarding and promoting young people's welfare
✔️ Can build positive relationships and deliver engaging activities
✔️ Can work as part of a team
✔️ Holds, or is willing to work towards, a Level 2 Youth Work qualification

Skipton Library is running a Tabletop Roleplaying Game Club for ages 16+.

Join experienced Games Master Katherine for one-shot adventures and mini campaigns of Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop roleplaying games.

📸🍂 Canal, Cameras & Hot Chocolate! ☕🍁

Skipton Youth Club had a great session this week!

We started the evening with a walk along the canal, enjoying the autumn evening and capturing some stunning photos of the sunset, scenery and local wildlife. 🌅🦆📷

Then it was back to the club to warm up with hot chocolates and autumn crafts. ☕🎨🍂

A lovely evening spent outdoors, getting creative and having fun together!

We’re already looking forward to more exciting activities next week! 💜

We hope everyone has had a fantastic summer & hope you’re enjoying the last few days of the school holidays before it’s time to head back to school and get back into the usual routines.

September is a great time for a little reset, so we’re sharing the Self-Care September calendar from Action for Happiness.

Self-care doesn’t have to mean doing anything big. This calendar is full of simple daily ideas to help you slow down, have fun, look after yourself and make time for the things that make you feel good.

And what better way to start September than with self-care, friendship and a bit of fun at Youth Club! 🎨🎮🏓😊

We’re back open next Tuesday evening on the 8th September, and everyone aged 11+/ School Year 7+ is welcome to come along and join us.
