Women and girls should feel safe and confident using our streets, parks and running routes.

As part of the initiative to tackle Violence Against Women and Girls, Lancashire Constabulary is working with local partners and communities to better understand the experiences of female runners and tackle street harassment.

National research shows many women experience unwanted attention such as catcalling, intimidation, or harassment while running. Locally, we want to understand what is happening in West Lancashire so we can take action that makes a real difference.

Do you know our St Helens Macmillan Information Service supports people living in St Helens, Halton, Knowsley, Newton-Le-Willows West Lancashire and surrounding areas?
As well as our St Helens drop in service we have a new support group starting in West Lancs the 7th January 2026 and all are welcome including friends, relatives & carers.
