Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Nigel Bond night at the Club, this is where the £280 raised went, Christmas jumpers for all the children. Special thanks to Tony Kelly as we had an unexpected guest turn up at short notice, Tony came to the rescue and sourced a jumper, in quick time.
If you know anyone who would like a collecting box for this special local charity, please message me.

Update on the fire.

Everyone is safe. It was the oil in a fryer in the kitchen that caught fire. The tenant, who was there at the time evacuated the premises as soon as it became obvious that he could not extinguish it.

The club is unaffected, except for a slight smell of smoke in the corridor and entrance lobby. Members can safely use the club tomorrow if they wish.

Thank you to the Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue for their swift action in fighting the fire, the Crafty Ale House for raising the alarm and all of those members who turned up and all who got in touch to offer their help and and wish us well.

We have been assured that the Bistro will be cleaned up and trading again within a few days.

We are aware there has been a fire at the Bistro which is attached to the Avenue Club. Nobody has been injured and committe members are at the Bistro to assess the damage. The club will be closed tomorrow ( Monday ) to confirm safety . We will reopen on Tuesday . .
