Lincolnshire Anti-racism Groups Condemn Far Right for Using Violence Against Women to Spread Hate

Lincolnshire, UK, 6 May 2026 — Lincolnshire Women Against the Far Right (WAFR) and Stand up to Racism (SUTR) stand with all survivors of Violence against Women and Girls. The far right is using women's safety as a weapon to spread racism and division. They are not defenders of women—they exploit violence against women and children to push hate.

These groups mobilise aggressive and violent protests outside hotels housing refugees, where women and children represent over 20% of all individuals staying there. Many of these women are survivors of sexual violence, abuse, and persecution, having fled their home countries in search of safety.

Far-right attacks on asylum hotels are not about ‘protecting Britain’—they are acts that directly endanger women and children. We know this personally, because the far right have threatened women in our group with violence for speaking out about this.

Recent far-right protests in Skegness have involved attendees holding placards with racial slurs on them, beating at the door of a refugee hotel, and indiscriminate harassment of other hotels in the town that they suspect to be housing refugees. As these groups often also target incorrect locations, their actions affect local communities causing more fear, unrest and hate.

We believe in a society where all women are safe, supported, and free from abuse — regardless of their background or where they come from. Standing up for women’s rights means rejecting racism and division and building unity to demand real action to end violence against women and girls.

Lincolnshire Women Against the Far Right will be peacefully counter protesting Unite the Right on the 9th May 2026, at The County Hotel, Skegness.

Together we can stand with all survivors and victims of abuse by uniting against the far right and challenging racist narratives that spread misinformation. Join us and demonstrate that we stand with all survivors and oppose racism and hate.

These two numpties are from Unite The Sh*te Uk and are also the Great British National Bake Off Reps for Lincolnshire.

Richard Donaldson must be so proud of his 2 half baked boys who, instead of demonstrating outside a labour council as advertised, rocked up outside Reform UK run Lincolnshire County Council instead. Luckily for our 2 half wits nobody else turned up either. So Lincolnshire’s 2 finest N***s decided to record it so we all didn't miss out. Thank Trump for the Master race

30 anti fascists stood their ground outside the County Hotel to show solidarity with refugees and opposition to fascist racism and division.

Refugees didn't cause the housing or cost of living crisis, successive governments and free market profiteering did. Our enemies come in yachts not small bosts. Stop the Yachts, deport the fascists and welcome refugees

Please support and share. The fascist Unite The Right Uk are shamelessly using the homeless in Skegness to spread their racist scapegoating of Refugees. They are blaming Refugees for a housing crisis which has it's roots in a over reliance on the free market and a lack of council house building since the 1980s.

Housing should be for all-oppose far right racist scapegoating

Press Release
Lincoln Together Alliance invites the people of Lincoln to join them to rally against division and Far-Right Extremism in Lincoln this Saturday 28th February, Cornhill, 2pm.
Lincoln Together Alliance brings together diverse organisations such as Trade Unions, Environmental Campaigners, Anti Racists, Faith Groups, some Political Parties and groups like Palestine Solidarity Campaign who collectively represent thousands of people in the city and is part of a national mobilisation which will see a March of thousands through the streets of London on 28th March 2026.

The Lincoln rally comes at a time when voices preaching hatred and division are becoming louder and more confident, the Together Alliance stands firm in its conviction that unity, solidarity and hope are the antidote to fear and prejudice. The alliance’s foundational statement declares: “Together we can reject narratives of division and racism. Together we can build solidarity across communities. Together we can unite against the far right.”

Lincolnshire has seen first hand what the Far Right looks like in power when this week the Reform UK dominated Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority voted to cut ESOL funding to refugees seeking to contribute to society and make a better life for themselves and others. This deliberately racist diversion of funds follows previously racist comments from Greater Lincolnshire Mayor Andrea Jenkyns call for Refugee hotels to be emptied and people to be housed in tents.

The statement continues:
“The change we need comes from working together for hope, not despair, for unity, not racism,” said a spokesperson for the Alliance. “We are mobilising across the country to send a clear message that the vast majority of people in this nation reject division and stand for solidarity.”
Key Priorities of the Together Alliance:
Promote unity and solidarity by countering discrimination, racism, and scapegoating of marginalised groups.

Mobilise communities across the UK by Organising local events, to build support for the London demonstration.

Counter far-right narratives by Highlighting the social, economic and political harms that divisive rhetoric and extremist organising bring to communities.

Lincoln Together Alliance calls on everyone who opposes hatred and division to join on Saturday in a celebration of hope and unity at a rally which will include stalls, face painting, music and other crafts to show that unity will conquer hate.
