No previous firefighting experience is necessary – full training is provided.

At Cranborne Fire Station, we operate:

🕖 Our weekly drill nights take place every Wednesday from 7:00pm – 9:30pm.

If you’re interested, why not come along to one of our drill nights for a chat with the crew? We’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Your Parish Needs You! Help Us Keep Our Community Connected
Volunteers required to join The Downsman team
Do you have time spare every other month? Are you comfortable with basic computers or simply passionate about your local community?
Our parish publication is the heart of our community, keeping residents informed, connected, and up-to-date with local news and events. We are currently looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our small, friendly team to assist with
• Contacting existing contributors: Help edit submitted articles, write short community features.
• Proofreading: Review drafts for spelling, clarity, and formatting before we go to print.
This is a community support role and not a technical role as we already have the technical team in place to prepare the copy for print.
Why Join Us?
• Make a difference: Directly impact how our local community stays informed.
• Flexible: Give as much time as you have to spare and it is only a few hours every other month.
Get in Touch!
If you’d like to have an informal, no-pressure chat about how you can help, please reach out to our team:
