So this weekend was my final race meeting....and what a weekend of ups and downs difficult weather a few unexpected problems....... But as always the F300-UK grid members / drivers pulled together for the usual help, assistance, banter, food, drinks or whatever it is you need, to keep going.
Binned it in practice backwards into the tyres no damage just a bit embarrassing....
Rob Huelin had a go in the #52 and loved it. heat 1 went well no dramas heat 2 started well but an unfortunate overtake attempt saw us both binned into the tyre wall......HARD!!!!! could have carried on as there was no damage but severely winded was pulled out of the kart by two James and left to recover at the marshals post ....
Heat 3 was very interesting started dry ended like a comedy sketch. .... the drizzle grew heavier and the pirouette's were being done by everyone including myself the leaders were very tentative in their driving as was everyone else..... got to the end but only just!!!!
The final was a wet one and my tyres were not the best so tip toed around and got to the end of my last ever race... was a entertaining finish with lots of sideways fun ....... thank you to the F300-UK grid has been an awesome 3 years of racing fun and new friends..... I really hope the series can carry on ..... and provide others with the same as I've experienced.....
A very well done to the #17 kart Ryan Martin pulling off some great results to climb from 5th to finish 3rd in this seasons championship all on the karting live tv channel on you tube .
