We've all seen the posts about mental health and can you share just to show somebody is listening .... post this or that to show somebody cares 💕💕well although I'm mostly in agreement to this idea not all people wish to tell their stories to friends family or complete strangers 🤔 so .....here are my thoughts from a suffer of anxiety and paranoia.
I don't like crowded places.
I don't like the unknown.
I don't like surprises.
I don't like unfamiliar places
I don't like being outside of my close family.
I don't like being around unfamiliar people.
I don't like being away from home too long
That made me quite an introvert, safe but very isolated. Calm but very insular. Depressive but safe. I worried even more what people thought of me said about me, which fuelled the reasons to stay "safe".... at home, with close family, my own company and before you know it full depression.....
I had done the counselling... had read the leaflets books and other written paraphernalia... and took the prescribed drugs but still not in a happy place .....
Motorsport had always been a part of my life before any of this.... so I thought if I enjoyed it so much then why not get involved again 🤔 big steps to the outside world called!!!!! 🤔
"I CAN DO THIS!!!" So I bought the kart spoke to a few kind people who showed me where to go what to do and I joined the F300 grid my first meeting I turned up at Clay Pigeon circuit knew nobody I went against ALL of the above
"I don't likes" and now 4 years on I'm still pushing past my comfort zones with a few wobbles here and there but the F300 grid has been there with friendship laughs assistance and most of all support. We don't all need someone to listen we just need them to be themselves and even us weirdos with our needs will find a way to fit in.
If you feel any of the emotions or feelings that I've mentioned come along to a race meet you can't miss my trailer have a chat a bit of banter but most importantly get out and join in move your headspace from a bad place to a good place and make yourself feel better... it good to push past our own boundaries and find it's not so bad 👌 and if you want a deep and meaningful chat ..... buy me a coffee !!!
