Last week’s YHW Workshop with the University of Hertfordshire was a real highlight. 💛

Seven volunteers teamed up with Jasmine from Uni of Hertfordshire and Colin from to create an animation exploring how culture and neurodiversity impact young people’s mental health. From recording voiceovers to developing the storyboard themselves, the group brought so much creativity, honesty and insight to the day.

YHW Masterclass in Motivation💪🧠

Towards the end of last year, our volunteers participated in an inspiring workshop with Sarah Stones from Plain Sailing Motivation. We gained valuable insights into personal motivation, learning to manage energy and navigate workload demands📚

The experience was eye-opening, unlocking our volunteers’ potential⭐️💥

🎉 Festival for Older People – Intergenerational Connections in Action!

On the 3rd of October, our amazing Young Healthwatch volunteers got stuck in at the Festival for Older People 2025🌟

From greeting and guiding attendees to gathering vital feedback about health and care services, our young volunteers played a key role in making sure every voice was heard. 🗣️❤️

It was a brilliant opportunity to connect generations, learn from each other, and work together to improve local services for our older community.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who shared their experiences with us and to our amazing young volunteers🤝🎤

🚨Young Healthwatch takes a stand for Assistance dogs rights🐕‍🦺🦮

This September, YHW Central Bedfordshire launched - a youth-led campaign raising awareness about the rights of assistants dogs in Leighton Buzzard📍

After a local man (George) with sight loss was refused entry to a Wetherspoons, our young volunteers took action. We visited shops and local businesses educating them on their legal duties under the Equality Act 2010🐾

With help from and our youth are leading real change💛

👾 to an epic night with our amazing Young Healthwatch volunteers! 👾

As a big thank you for all their hard work throughout the year, our Youth Volunteer & Engagement Officer and staff took the team out for an action-packed Laser Quest session in Milton Keynes! 🔫🎯

After an evening of fun, games, and friendly competition, we wrapped it up with a well-earned meal at Nando’s. 🍗🔥 A perfect way to celebrate the festive season and their incredible dedication!

to an incredible visit at Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice!

On 30th July 2024, Young Healthwatch (YHW) volunteers had the opportunity to visit the Hospice and gain valuable insights into the experiences of young visitors and patients. 🏥💙

From touring the wards and memorial gardens to speaking with staff, patients, and visitors, our volunteers gathered meaningful feedback on how the Hospice supports individuals with life-limiting conditions. Their perspectives will help shape services to be more inclusive and welcoming for young people.

A huge thank you to the amazing team at Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice for their warmth, dedication, and openness to youth engagement! 🌿✨
