Hannah’s Place of Safety is incredibly grateful to ICG Medical and the ICG Foundation for their generous donation.

As a small organization caring for vulnerable babies who have been abandoned, abused or neglected, we are currently facing significant financial challenges. This generous donation will have a meaningful and immediate impact on Hannah’s Place of Safety, helping us to keep our doors open and continue providing a safe, loving and nurturing environment for the babies in our care.

The donation will assist with essential operational costs, including contributing towards staff salaries, fuel and electricity, as well as the many daily expenses involved in caring for vulnerable babies. Our dedicated staff work around the clock to ensure that every baby receives the love, care, and protection they deserve.

Your generosity has helped create moments that many children and young people will remember for a lifetime.

Together, we've helped fund educational resources, creative equipment, family experiences, work opportunities, wellbeing initiatives and countless opportunities that empower children to learn, grow and believe in their future.

One of our most successful fundraising initiatives is our Christmas Wishes Campaign. Each year, we raise funds to ensure that every child supported by Udayan Care receives a special Christmas gift. In 2025, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised enough to provide 184 children across 13 Udayan Care homes in the Delhi NCR region with a gift they had personally wished for.

Every contribution, no matter the size, has helped make these moments possible.

Our impact isn't measured only in donations.

It's measured in opportunities created.

In confidence restored.

In futures changed.

One of the most meaningful moments from our recent visit to India during the ICG AGM was spending time with the incredible girls at Udayan Care.

Members of the ICG team had the opportunity to share their own personal and professional journeys, speaking openly about education, resilience, confidence and believing in what's possible.

While we hoped to inspire the girls, we left feeling equally inspired by their positivity, ambition and determination.

Visits like these remind us that creating impact isn't only about fundraising. It's also about showing up, sharing experiences and encouraging young people to believe in their own potential.

We're incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and look forward to continuing to support initiatives that empower children and young people around the world.

Sometimes, making a difference starts with something simple. A Christmas present. A Moses basket. A helping hand when a family needs it most.

The ICG Foundation is proud to support Stripey Stork, a Surrey-based baby bank helping families facing difficult circumstances access essential items for their children.

Through the Santa Stork 2023 campaign, a grant from the ICG Foundation helped fund gifts and wrapping paper as part of an initiative that brought Christmas support to 6,302 children. The campaign also provided 1,325 Christmas bundles and gifts for 565 parents and carers.

But the impact goes beyond Christmas.

Throughout the year, Stripey Stork collects, checks and prepares new and pre-loved essentials for babies and children before helping them reach families through trusted community partners.

Its Safe Places to Sleep project aims to provide 650 babies and toddlers with a safe place to sleep, with Moses baskets, cots and cot beds carefully prepared and supplied with new mattresses before being passed on to families in need.

From creating moments of joy to meeting essential everyday needs, this partnership shows what can be achieved when organisations, volunteers and communities come together to support families.

Sometimes, the biggest ideas begin with a single moment.

While visiting India, ICG Medical CEO Adrian Treacy was struck by the number of children living in extremely difficult circumstances. Seeing young people without access to the opportunities many of us take for granted highlighted just how much difference even small acts of kindness can make.

That experience became the inspiration for the ICG Foundation.

Today, the Foundation continues that vision by supporting charities and projects that help children build brighter futures through education, wellbeing, practical support and life changing opportunities.

What started as one moment of reflection has grown into a commitment that continues to make a difference to children and communities around the world.

43 years ago today, Miriam Palk started her journey into nursing and what a journey it has been.

The picture above is Miriam the week before she left home to begin her training, ready to embark on a career in which she has truly excelled.

And guess what? We’re incredibly lucky that her journey has brought her to ICG Medical, where she is our Chief Nurse.

Those of you who know Miriam will know that she takes on some of the most rewarding, but often intense, work day-to-day. She is calm under pressure, understanding when it matters and firm when it’s needed. Quite simply, we couldn’t do what we do without her.

Miriam, your passion for nursing after 43 years is genuinely inspiring. Thank you for everything you do for ICG Medical, for our people, and for the profession you clearly still love as much today as you did at 18.

Here’s to the next chapter and to many more years!

Behind the scenes, we've been busy shaping the next chapter of the ICG Foundation. While we've continued supporting our charity partners, we've also been working on new initiatives, strengthening existing relationships, and planning even more ways to make a positive impact.

Now, we're excited to bring you along for the journey.

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing more about who we are, why the Foundation was created, the charities we work with, the impact we've made, and the inspiring stories that continue to drive our mission forward.
