🌺 Silsden Remembers – Lamppost Poppies of Remembrance 🌺

It’s that time of year again when the lamppost poppies will be going up, from the roundabout through the town and all the way to Cringles. ❤️

Remembrance is a time for us all to pause, reflect and remember those who have served and sacrificed for our country, as well as our loved ones and family members who are no longer with us. We will always hold them close in our hearts. ❤️

The Silsden Veterans will once again be putting up the lamppost poppies and warmly encourage everyone to take a moment to sign a poppy of remembrance in memory of someone special.

Whether you are remembering a fallen hero, a family member, a friend or someone who holds a special place in your heart, every name and every memory matters. 🌺

Let’s come together as a community to honour, remember and never forget those who mean so much to us.

Lest We Forget. ❤️🌺

A big thank you to everyone who came out to participate in the first Silsden Veterans Association Poker Run. Unfortunately, as it was our first attempt at the event, there were some hiccups with the rules. We apologize for the confusion and we will be better prepared for the ex*****on of the Poker Run if we do it again in the future. Due to the confusion, we decided to split the prize between the first and second place players. Congratulations to Megan and Patti on their £50 prizes! This also means the SVA raised £100 for our ongoing community support. Thanks again to all those who came out to support us and our local pubs.
