✨ World Book Day / Wonka-Themed Prizes – Can You Help? ✨

Hello! 💛

We’re currently planning our World Book Day celebrations at school and are looking for any donations of books, chocolate, or World Book Day / W***y Wonka-style prizes that could be used as rewards for the children.

If you have anything suitable and are able to deliver it to school by half term, we would be ever so grateful. 📦✨

We’d also love to hear from any local businesses who might be willing to donate a small amount of money so we can purchase prizes. In return, we’ll be very happy to share and promote your business across all school communications as a big thank-you 🙌

If you can help or would like more information, please comment below or send us a message. Thank you so much for supporting our school community 💛

📢 Reminder: PTFA AGM – Tomorrow

Our PTFA AGM is tomorrow. Please note: the Secretary, Treasurer, and Chair are all stepping down. Around 4 ordinary members will remain to support the new team, but we urgently need people to step into these key roles.

👉 To nominate yourself or someone else, forms are available at reception. Please complete one and return it at pick-up.

⚠️ If these committee seats aren’t filled, the PTFA will have to suspend all activities until they are – and the committee may even disband.

The PTFA currently funds:
🎵 Barnsley music lessons in school
✏️ Digital learning support (e.g. TT Rock Stars, spelling apps)
🎉 Fun activities and events for the children

Without the PTFA - some things may have to stop altogether or have to be funded from other areas.

Your involvement really matters – please consider stepping forward! 🙏

📢 PTFA Annual General Meeting – Wednesday 10th September, 6pm @ Silkstone Primary School

Our PTFA has done an amazing job this year, funding things like Barnsley Music Service lessons, online learning resources (Purple Mash, Spelling Shed, 1Decision), artist visits, the Clamber Stack, the Outdoor Classroom and more! 🌟

At this year’s AGM, our current committee will be stepping down – so we’re looking for new volunteers to take on the roles of Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and Committee Members.

✨ All parents and carers are members of the PTFA and are warmly invited to attend.
✨ This is a great chance to hear about the incredible fundraising achievements of the last 12 months.
✨ If you’d like to stand for a role, please bring your nomination along to the AGM.

Come along, get involved and help us continue to make a big difference for our children! 💛
