Hi everyone! It’s been really nice to see some new faces at our January and February meetings and so I thought I would do a post explaining a bit more about us and how WI membership works for anybody else that’s thinking of joining us 🙂.
We meet every 4th Tuesday of the month at 8pm at St Gregory’s Hall. We are definitely not a traditional WI - we are a mixed age group of local ladies, from mums with young kids to retirees, we all just like to get together once a month to chat and try new things!
We allow people to come to up to 3 meetings as a visitor without needing to join so you can try it and see if it’s for you (visitor fee is £5).
If you do decide to join, the WI membership fee is £51 for the year and this includes 11 meetings per year and the monthly WI Life magazine and other benefits for WI members. The membership year runs from April to March so fees are due in April, however if you are joining for the first time then fees are pro rata depending on what time of year you join (I’ve attached the prices below).
To join you just need to fill out a membership form which we have available at meetings and pay either by cheque or Bank Transfer.
