Charnwood Police - 🚓 NL59 Beat Team – Weekly Roundup
Here’s a quick look at what I’ve been up to across the NL59 beat this week, covering Sileby, Barrow upon Soar, Seagrave, Cossington, Cotes, Hoton & the Wolds villages:
👮♂️ Patrols & Visibility.
High‑visibility patrols carried out in Sileby Memorial Park focusing on ASB & e‑bike concerns. Routine foot & vehicle patrols completed across Barrow, Seagrave, Cossington & Hoton, checking in on known hotspots & community areas.
🚨 Incidents Attended.
Responded to several reports linked to ASB & neighbour disputes around the Beat, offering advice, reassurance & referrals where appropriate.
Assisted colleagues on ongoing investigations involving local intelligence around drug-related issues.
Completed follow-up visits after a recent vehicle‑related incident in the rural Wolds area.
📨 Community Engagement.
Provided support & updates to residents who have raised concerns through Neighbourhood Link & direct contact.
Continued work with partner agencies, including Charnwood Borough Council, Sileby Parish Council & Leicestershire Fire & Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, on shared issues affecting the villages.
🚓🤝 Joint Partnership Working.
PCSO 6031 Charlie teamed up with East Midlands Housing (EMH) for an Estate day in Burtons Close in Sileby where many residents received door knocks from members of EMH as well as the police.
A few issues were raised however residents commented on what a nice place it was to live in!
Reports have been received of e‑bikes being ridden at excessive speed along Cemetry Road & surrounding streets, in Sileby, particularly during the evenings & at around School times.
E-Riders have been seen using the pavement, with no lights & wearing dark clothing, which poses a danger to pedestrians & other road users.
Patrols will be increased in the area, & further information from residents is always appreciated.
Many thanks,
NL59 Beat Team,
