👮‍♀️🚓 Community Day at Redlands Primary School, Sileby 🚓👮‍♂️
We had a fantastic time attending Community Day at Redlands Primary School! It was great to connect with the local community and show our presence in such a positive way 🤝💙
The children loved getting up close to the police car — from exploring inside to seeing the lights in action 🚨✨ There were lots of smiles, questions, and excitement all around!
Who knows… we may have met some future Police Officers in the making 👮‍♀️👮‍♂️ It was inspiring to hear so many young people say they’d love to join the force one day!
A big thank you to everyone who came to say hello — we’re always proud to be part of our community 💙

It’s been a busy few weeks for PC 1343, the beat officer for Sileby, Barrow, Wymeswold and the surrounding villages 🚔👍

☑️ Conducted joint patrols with the Environment Agency along the river during the closed season to deter and deal with poaching offences, which remain an ongoing issue. These patrols will continue sporadically throughout the year
☑️ Worked alongside the Rural Crime Team to meet local farmers and landowners, discussing ongoing issues and security measures
☑️ Supported response colleagues with a range of incidents, including domestics, RTCs and burglaries
☑️ Continued safeguarding work by engaging with domestic abuse victims and offering ongoing support
☑️ Attended addresses linked to vulnerable individuals, focusing on exploitation and cuckooing
☑️ Managed a number of ongoing neighbour disputes within the community
☑️ Policed the Glastonbudget event, which passed without any issues
☑️ Executed a warrant at an address in Sileby following reports of drug dealing

We’ll continue to be out in your communities, targeting the issues that matter most and working to keep people safe.😀📍

*NL59 Beat*

PCSO 6031 Charlie 👮‍♀️ has had a busy and productive set on the beat, carrying out a range of duties to support the local community. Here’s what she’s been up to:

✅ High-visibility patrols were conducted around Sileby Memorial Park in response to ongoing concerns around anti-social behaviour and the use of electric bikes in the area. These patrols were aimed at providing reassurance to local residents, engaging with park users, and addressing any issues identified.

✅ Attended Hayhill Industrial Estate in Barrow upon Soar following reports of vehicles acting in an anti-social manner. Patrols were conducted in the area, and enquiries were made to deter further incidents and reassure local businesses and workers.

✅ In addition, PCSO Charlie joined PC 1548 for patrols at the Glastonbudget festival. Officers provided a visible presence throughout the event, engaging with attendees and helping to ensure everything ran smoothly. The beat team hope everyone attending has a fantastic time, enjoys the good weather ☀️, and most importantly stays safe.

Charnwood Police - Back to school 🏫 🚸 after the easter holidays.

Good Morning/Afternoon all,

🚸 Back to School after Easter holidays: Parking 🅿️ safety & crime prevention advice ℹ️.

As children return to school 🏫, increased traffic & parking 🅿️ demand can create risks for children, residents, & drivers.

Please help keep everyone safe by following this advice ℹ️:

🚗 Safe & legal parking 🅿️
Park legally & considerately—do-not block pavements, driveways, crossings, or junctions.
Avoid ⛔ parking on zig‑zags or double yellow lines, even “for a minute”. Do not mount pavements—this forces children & parents into the road.
Use designated parking 🅿️ areas where available, even if it means a short walk 👣.

🚸 Keeping children safe 🚸.
Always hold young children’s hands near roads 🛣️ & car parks 🅿️.
Use safe crossing points & follow School Staff or Crossing Patrol officer instructions.
Don’t 🚫 reverse or U‑turn near school gates unless it’s clearly Safe.
Avoid ⛔ stopping on the opposite side of the road to call children across.

🚶‍♀️ Consider walking or other methods of transport such as Cycling 🚲 or scooter 🛴 as a method of travel to School 🏫 🚸.
Park 🅿️ a few minutes away & walk 👣 part of the journey.
This reduces Congestion 💨 & improves Safety at school gates.
Fewer vehicles mean better Visibility for children & drivers.

🏘️ Respect local residents
Avoid ⛔ blocking driveways or parked vehicles.
Engines off—Reduce Nuisance, Pollution & Confrontation 🗯️.
A polite approach prevents disputes & complaints!

⚠️ Enforcement & Reporting ⚠️.
Illegal or dangerous parking may result in enforcement action 🎫.
Obstructive parking can delay emergency vehicles 🚨.
Persistent issues should be reported via:
Local authority parking enforcement (Leicestershire County Council & Charnwood Borough Council)
Police 101 (non‑emergency)

Much appreciated,
PCSO 6031 Charlie Dash.

Charnwood Police - 🚓 NL59 Beat Team – Weekly Roundup

Here’s a quick look at what I’ve been up to across the NL59 beat this week, covering Sileby, Barrow upon Soar, Seagrave, Cossington, Cotes, Hoton & the Wolds villages:

👮‍♂️ Patrols & Visibility.
High‑visibility patrols carried out in Sileby Memorial Park focusing on ASB & e‑bike concerns. Routine foot & vehicle patrols completed across Barrow, Seagrave, Cossington & Hoton, checking in on known hotspots & community areas.

🚨 Incidents Attended.
Responded to several reports linked to ASB & neighbour disputes around the Beat, offering advice, reassurance & referrals where appropriate.
Assisted colleagues on ongoing investigations involving local intelligence around drug-related issues.
Completed follow-up visits after a recent vehicle‑related incident in the rural Wolds area.

📨 Community Engagement.
Provided support & updates to residents who have raised concerns through Neighbourhood Link & direct contact.
Continued work with partner agencies, including Charnwood Borough Council, Sileby Parish Council & Leicestershire Fire & Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, on shared issues affecting the villages.

🚓🤝 Joint Partnership Working.
PCSO 6031 Charlie teamed up with East Midlands Housing (EMH) for an Estate day in Burtons Close in Sileby where many residents received door knocks from members of EMH as well as the police.
A few issues were raised however residents commented on what a nice place it was to live in!

Reports have been received of e‑bikes being ridden at excessive speed along Cemetry Road & surrounding streets, in Sileby, particularly during the evenings & at around School times.
E-Riders have been seen using the pavement, with no lights & wearing dark clothing, which poses a danger to pedestrians & other road users.
Patrols will be increased in the area, & further information from residents is always appreciated.

Many thanks,
NL59 Beat Team,
Charlotte Dash
