🏆 Congratulations to Sheila on receiving the Inspirational Leader Award! 🏆

This weekend, we were delighted to celebrate Sheila, whose dedication, resilience and kindness have earned her a well-deserved Inspirational Leader Award.

As a Rangers Leader, Sheila has shown unwavering commitment to ensuring girls have access to incredible opportunities, no matter the challenges. When unexpected issues with the Rangers' meeting place threatened to disrupt activities, Sheila worked tirelessly to find solutions, ensuring the girls could continue their adventures and friendships without missing out.

From organising exciting trips to Dartmoor and London, to planning an ambitious international adventure to Our Chalet in Switzerland, Sheila continually inspires young members to dream big and embrace new experiences. Her determination, creativity and countless hours spent fundraising and securing grants have helped make these opportunities possible for so many girls.

Beyond her leadership with Rangers, Sheila is a valued source of support across her local guiding community. She is known for her warmth, encouragement and ability to make every young member and volunteer feel welcome, supported and valued.

Sheila truly embodies the spirit of Girlguiding – empowering girls, supporting volunteers and creating opportunities that broaden horizons and build confidence.

Please join us in congratulating Sheila on this fantastic achievement and thanking her for everything she does for Girlguiding. 💙

💙 Thank You to Our Incredible Sidmouth Volunteers

Happy Volunteers’ Week to every leader, helper, parent‑helper, Trefoil member and behind‑the‑scenes hero who keeps Girlguiding running in Sidmouth.

Because of you, girls try new things, make friends, build confidence and discover what they’re capable of. Girlguiding simply wouldn’t exist here without your time, energy and heart.

We’re so grateful for everything you do from late‑night meeting planning to organising activities, running sessions, finding lost water bottles, and bringing the magic to every adventure.

But to keep Girlguiding thriving in Sidmouth, we urgently need more volunteers.
If you can spare even a small amount of time weekly, monthly or occasionally there’s a role that will fit around you.

If you’d like to help shape the future of Girlguiding in Sidmouth, we’d love to welcome you.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re celebrating the positive impact Girlguiding can have on the wellbeing of girls and young women across Devon 💙

Through friendship, adventure, encouragement and belonging, Girlguiding helps girls build confidence, develop resilience and know they always have people around them who care.

Our volunteers work hard to create safe, inclusive spaces where every young person feels valued, supported and able to be themselves.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers who help make Girlguiding Devon a place where girls can grow in confidence, friendship and happiness every week 💛

A huge congratulations to Joyce, who was invited to attend a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace last week in recognition of community heroes and the incredible difference they make.

Joyce represents the very best of Girlguiding, supporting volunteers week in and week out with kindness, dedication and encouragement. We are so grateful for everything she does for Girlguiding Devon and for the positive impact she has on so many members across the county.

During the special day Joyce also saw Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, along with Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.

We are thrilled to hear Joyce enjoyed such a memorable and well deserved experience. Thank you Joyce for all that you do 💙✨
