A huge heartfelt thankyou to all of our volunteers this Volunteers' Week. To our trustees, befrienders, exercise class volunteers and IT support - thank you so much for the difference you make in our community. COULD YOU BECOME A TRUSTEE?
Sid Valley Help is a small charity working in Sidmouth Town, Sidford, Sidbury, and Salcombe Regis. Our objectives are to provide signposting to health and care support services, to build a network of local support organisations, and to identify and help fill gaps in non-statutory health and care support services. We registered as a charity in January 2019 - see the About Us page on our website www.sidvalleyhelp.org.uk.

Our priorities are reducing loneliness in all age groups and improving local mental health provision for young people. Currently our activities are:
• operating a befriending service with 30 volunteers
• sign-posting people to local health and social care services through our website and helpline
• running local groups and classes
• providing specialist support for young people with mental wellbeing issues and advice sessions for their parents and carers.

JOIN US
Two additional Trustees are now being sought to join our Management Group. We are particularly interested in people who can bring skills or experience in the areas of charity management, fund-raising, and marketing and communications.
