Recently, several cadets from 1227 Sidcup Squadron RAF Air Cadets achieved their Blue Radio qualification! 📻👏

As part of the course, cadets learned the basics of radio communication, including how to correctly use the phonetic alphabet and pass messages clearly and effectively over the radio.

The qualification helped cadets develop communication skills, confidence, and an understanding of the importance of clear and accurate radio procedure.

Well done to everyone who completed the course and earned their badge — a brilliant achievement!

Congratulations to Sgt A Allard from 1227 Sidcup Squadron RAF Air Cadets who has recently achieved their Blue Aviation badge following a Gliding Induction Flight! ✈️👏

The flight provided the opportunity to experience gliding first-hand and gain a greater understanding of the principles of flight and aviation.

This is a fantastic achievement and a brilliant step forward in their RAF Air Cadets journey, helping to build confidence and further inspire an interest in aviation.

A huge well done to all the cadets from 1227 Sidcup Squadron RAF Air Cadets who took part in our bag packing fundraiser at Morrisons! 👏

The cadets did an excellent job representing the squadron, helping shoppers with their packing, and raising valuable funds to support future activities and opportunities for our cadets.

We would also like to say a big thank you to the staff and customers at Morrisons for your kindness, generosity, and support throughout the day — it is greatly appreciated.
