Avenues Group Avenues is a community where people smile, laugh and grow – and achieve great things.

We support autistic people, people with learning disability, acquired brain injury and complex needs to live life to the fullest. We support people in a residential setting or in their own homes who have learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues, physical disabilities and acquired brain injury. We also provide a range of other services, helping disabled people to be more active and independent and to connect with their local communities.

We love celebrating the people who make a difference every day, so we're delighted to share that Jennifer was named Employee of the Month for May! 👏

Jennifer was presented with a certificate and a voucher to recognise her hard work, dedication and commitment in her role as a support worker.

The team came together for the presentation, with Jennifer's colleagues sharing some lovely words about the positive contribution she makes to the service and the people they support.

Are you an experienced HR professional who believes great employee relations can make a real difference to people’s experience at work?

We’re looking for a People Experience Officer to join our People Team, with Employee Relations at the heart of the role.

You’ll manage a varied portfolio of ER cases, providing trusted advice and guidance to managers while helping ensure our people are supported fairly, consistently and in line with our values.

But it’s not just about casework. You’ll also help us spot trends, strengthen our approach to employee experience and contribute to wellbeing, engagement, recognition and workplace culture.

📍 Sidcup / Hybrid
🕒 37 hours per week, Monday–Friday
💰 £30,000 per annum + benefits

There’s nothing quite like making the most of a sunny day, and these lovely photos from our service in Hampshire capture just that! 💜

Carlos had great fun putting his aim to the test with a game of giant darts, while Peter and Mary found the perfect way to cool off - enjoying the refreshing water splashing over their feet. Neil enjoyed a friendly game of Jenga in the garden.

💜 Could your autism expertise help change understanding and improve lives?

We’re looking for an experienced Autism Specialist Trainer & Oliver McGowan Lead Facilitator to join our External Training Team.

This is an opportunity to use your knowledge and passion to challenge misconceptions, build understanding and help create more inclusive experiences for autistic people.

You’ll deliver specialist autism training to health and social care professionals, employers, schools, individuals and families, as well as facilitating The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism alongside our lived-experience co-trainers.

The role:
📍 North Hampshire, with Hampshire-wide travel
🕒 24 hours per week
💰 £31,720 per annum (pro rata)
📅 12-month fixed-term contract
⏰ Closing date: 27 August 2026

A Smile Moment from Matthew 😊

After enjoying his Basic Life Support training so much, Matthew asked if he could continue learning—and this time he wanted to develop his first aid skills by learning how to use bandages.

Matthew threw himself into the session with the same enthusiasm and determination as before, and as you can see from these photos, he was incredibly proud of everything he achieved. 🌟

It's wonderful to see someone so eager to keep learning, building confidence and developing practical skills that could one day help someone else.
