Thrilling music and glorious singing this evening from around 100 singers who travelled to Shrewsbury Abbey from Glasgow, Derby, Chipping Norton and everywhere in between to learn Classic FM’s youngest composer Matthew Coleridge’s The Breath of Life. Lush, atmospheric - a wonderful experience - and Judy from Shrewsbury Cantata Choir got her score signed by the composer himself! Thanks too to Dr Martin Cook who conducted a gorgeous selection of choral favourites from Brahms’ “How lovely are thy dwellings” to Mozart, Tallis and the ‘Hallelujah Chorus’ ! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Want to hear more wonderful music? Come along to our multi-media Remembrance Concert Saturday 7 November when we’ll be singing Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man and Bob Chilcott’s “Move him into the Sun’.

Yes! We’ll be welcoming over 70 singers to Shrewsbury Abbey tomorrow and they need some staging to sit on! Rob could really do with some 🌟HELP TODAY🌟 putting up the staging. No experience or particular strength needed. 2pm.
“Many hands 🙌🏼 make light work”! All welcome if you can spare a bit of time!
