Community Resource Community Resource is committed to making life better for people and communities in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin.

Community Resource (formerly known as Shropshire RCC) is a charity that is committed to making life better for people and communities facing challenges in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin. We deliver this work across three main areas:

Wellbeing & Care

We support people to stay active and connected to their communities and to maintain their health and independence so they live life to the full. We do this through a range of community-based projects with the help of a team of local and committed volunteers. Community & Support

We work with voluntary groups so they can help meet the need in their local area, enable local people to improve their work prospects through access to transport and support rural communities to access competitive heating prices through our Oil Buying Club. Funding & Advice

We connect people who care with causes that need their help through our community fund, offer guidance to households to help them save energy and keep warm and provide advice to local meeting places and groups through our membership scheme.

Working together to support rural housing across Shropshire 🏡

Last week, our Rural Housing Enabler, Craig, met with members of the RHE Advisory Group to share an update on his recent work, discuss future plans and hear feedback and insight from partners.

Our Rural Housing Enabler works directly with parishes of fewer than 3,000 residents to identify their housing needs and help ensure local communities have a voice as developments progress.

More than 70 women from across Shropshire came together for our Ladies who Lunch for Good event last week, raising more than £1,600 to help support people and communities across the county.

Last week we hosted our second Village Hall and Community Building Conference at Willey Village Hall , bringing together people who care about keeping community spaces thriving.
