From January 2022 our adoption prices have had to increase to make up for the ongoing rises in prices for caring for our feline friends. We know that we are still ask a moderate fee for adoptions and we will always try to keep this as low as we can, but we are suffering the same cost increases as everyone else is this year. We now ask for a minimum donation of £60 per cat/kitten and £90 for a pedigree with or without papers. Please note if you have signed up to our waiting lists or have applied for cats/kittens before today, we will honour the original adoption donation. Thank you

🎃 Calling all UK cat lovers! Our Spooky Season Photo Challenge is open, and entry is FREE. 🐈‍⬛

✨ Entry is free. Optional donations are welcome. Every donation helps us provide food, shelter, veterinary treatment and care for cats waiting for their new homes.

Send us one autumn - or Halloween-themed cat photo for the chance to win one of three prizes!

🕸️ Spookiest Scene — Win a Green Zombie Kitten by zombie.cat666
For the most Halloween- or cat-themed entry.

🎃 Pumpkin Purrfection — Win a one-year Shropshire Cat Rescue cat sponsorship.
For the best autumn-themed setting.

🐾 SCR Judges’ Favourite — Win an SCR gift-shop bundle.
Our wildcard category — the entry our judges love most.

Our usual Halloween Book Buddies event can't take place at the shelter this year because our rooms are full of cats receiving care before finding their new homes. So we're bringing the fun online instead! 🍂

🚫 Please don't dress up your cat. Photos featuring cats in costumes or fancy dress won't be accepted. No professional photography needed — just have fun!
