On Sunday (7th June), one of our group attendees is very kindly running a fundraising stall at the brilliant Little Children's Market.

If you are attending this event, do be sure to check out her table!

You can find her at Shrewsbury Sports Village (SY1 4RQ) 11am-1pm

A huge thank you to the incredible parent doing this for us! And thank you to everyone who has donated items and to anyone who makes a purchase on Sunday. The funds raised will go towards helping us continue to provide accessible community-based therapy.

Our weekly drop-in groups have supported families across Shropshire for the past five years. From conversations in the bell tent to friendships formed over coffee and play, the impact has been quietly powerful.

We’re now raising £24,000 to help sustain these therapist-led community sessions while we secure future funding.

Thank you to everyone who has already donated or shared the link.

If you haven’t yet had a chance, you can support the campaign here: https://gofund.me/413b1f84e or by following the link in our bio.

Even sharing the page helps us reach more people.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

For the past five years, The Sea Change Trust has been running two very special groups for families in Shrewsbury and Pontesbury.

These therapist-led drop-ins have provided welcoming spaces where parents and carers with babies and young children can talk, connect and access support when they need it most. Over time, they have become a trusted and supportive space for many families.

The grants that have funded these sessions have now come to an end, so we are reaching out to our community for support.

We’ve launched a fundraising campaign to help deliver similar groups so that we can continue to provide accessible community-based therapy.

Our goal is to raise £24,000, which would allow us to deliver sessions for 6 months (during term time).

If you have ever attended one of these groups, know someone who has, or simply believe in accessible community mental health support for families, we would be incredibly grateful if you could support or share the campaign.

Every contribution helps.

Sadly, our funding for our weekly therapist-led drop-in groups has now come to an end.

We would like to thank everyone who has come along to any of these sessions and supported us with donations, feedback and spreading the word about us in the five years that these groups have been running. A big thank you as well to all of the corporations and individuals who have provided us with larger-scale donations and fundraisers along the way, including BBC Children in Need and The National Lottery Community Fund for approving our initial grants, as without that none of this would have been possible.

Our team will be continuing to seek out further funding with the hope of resuming our groups again in the future but The Sea Change Trust will look a little different, at least for the time-being. Should you need any support you can still reach us on 01743 248886 or by completing our enquiries form on our website at www.seachangefamily.org

Sea Change Psychotherapy will still be operating as normal offering various therapeutic options for individuals and families.

We do hope to be back again in the near future and will of course be shouting from the rooftops on our social media when that happens!

We'd like to say thank you to the anonymous doner who contributed a very generous amount to The Sea Change Trust recently!

We are feeling extremely grateful for the amount of support we have received since we let you all know that our funding was coming to an end, from putting us in touch with various contacts, to arranging your own wonderful fundraising events.

Thank you to each and every one of you for your part in helping us to raise further funds.

There is still a lot going on behind the scenes, and although we do still have a way to go, we wanted you to know how much we appreciate every bit of help.

If you, or someone you know, may be able to help us in our continuing fundraising efforts, or with spreading the word, please do continue to reach out. No amount of effort is too small and it is all very much appreciated.

We have had lots of lovely queries about how to support the trust as we approach the planned break in our current drop-in services.

One way that you can all help is by providing feedback as part of our ongoing grant applications for further funding.

We are hoping to capture the thoughts and voices of the drop-in communities at our drop-in groups next week. This will be done by either video or audio recordings, but we will also have our usual text-based feedback questionnaire available if this is preferred. There is no pressure to take part in this activity and it will not affect the usual drop-in space available.

If you are unable to attend next week but would like to take part in this, please feel free to complete the feedback form below. Or if you would like to be a part of the video or audio recordings, please feel free to contact Becky on [email protected] to discuss how to be involved.
