Will contain yellow rattle eyebright cats ear possibly common spotted orchids
Would need to be collected and spread today on a prepared recipient site.

The Marches Meadow Group is celebrating National Meadows Day on Saturday 4 July this year with a Shropshire meadows open day. Over 20 meadow owners will open their gates. Come along to one, two or more during the day and find out about meadow creation and see the beauty of a traditional wildflower meadow for yourself. Meadows rang in size and in age/maturity. More information about each meadow will be available nearer the time. Tickets are £5 if you are not already a member of MMG (free to MMG members). Two chances to explore 11 acres of diverse meadows this month
MMG Member Hurdley Hall, near Church Stoke, opens for the National Garden Scheme on Sundays 7 & 21 June (11-5pm). Their meadows include the Coronation Meadows (recipient) for Montgomeryshire, 5 acres of steep upland with very thin soil, and 1 acre adjacent to Roundton Hill, which is quite wet. A survey by MMG in 2023, noted that ‘together the fields are in the top 4% of the meadows in the database.’ These form part of 25 acres of formal gardens with topiary, colourful borders, kitchen garden, a 2 acre orchard and ancient and more recent woodland. Home-made teas, adults £6.50, children free, dogs welcome. All proceeds to National Garden Scheme nursing and health charities.

Sunshine at last and the meadows are blooming - yellow rattle, germander speedwell, cowslips, mountain pansy and cuckoo flower. Orange tip butterflies, red tailed and buff tailed bumblebees abound
