We had two fine services last month, one of which was a fabulous Harvest Festival/Bake off, which drew a large attendance and some stiff competition. Rev Matthew led both the worship and the cake tasting with style and spirit. Thank you to all who contributed, especially Kate Smith for her amazing organisation

We’ve been busy in the lead up to our Harvest Festival and Bake-Off tomorrow.

The meadow has been cut and cleared and a few mammal and bug parishioners showed their faces.

Michael was also pleased to welcome a group of enthusiastic ramblers, who were visiting from Cheshire, led by Jane and John. It was a pleasure to tell them about the special place that is St Peter and St Paul, Sheinton.

We are lucky to be hosting a visit from the Shropshire and Staffordshire Lichen group this Friday, the 17th July. They are attending to survey our church and yard and have indicated that they welcome anyone from the village (or nearby villages) to come along and see what they are doing. They can give a brief introduction to what lichens are and why churchyards are an important habitat for lichens.

They will be on site at about 10:15, so do come along and bring a magnifying glass if you have one.

With all the hot, dry weather, the wildflowers have nearly all flowered and dropped their seeds, so we will be cutting the grass in the near future.

Hope you can join us for this special celebration of our church!
