We are delighted to welcome back our Pyramidal orchid parishioner, along with a few floral friends (wild carrot, self heal and viper’s bugloss). All Flora and Fauna are welcome at St Peter and St Paul’s… some might be scythed when the seeds have set!

A belated “thank you” to everyone who took part in the Sheinton Steeplechase last week.
You raised a magnificent £1,120.00 for Sheinton Church.
This will go a long way to helping us make some much needed repairs to our roof.
Thank you again for all your support ❤️

Please do join us in Sheinton Church for our Annual Parochial Church Meeting on Sunday 26th April.
We are a warm and welcoming group of people who care about the only public building in the village of Sheinton, our ancient and very special church of St Peter & St Paul.
We’d love you to join us! Just turn up! There will be refreshments☕️🍪

We are looking forward to welcoming Fr Charles to celebrate communion with us this Sunday (22nd) at 11:00. All are welcome and we will have some refreshments on offer after the service. Come for a chat, if you like, as did a bunch of walkers last month.

We’ve just completed a selective spring scythe of the church bank: our best bit of wildflower meadow. Cut before the wild flowers come up to take out as much of the ‘thug’ grass as possible. We’ve left the majority of the flowering dead nettle and have enjoyed watching all the bumblebees harvesting the nectar. All in all, two compacted wheely bins full of cuttings. Now we’ll leave the bank and enjoy the wild flowers until we do a later summer cut. New church yard next.

We were honoured to be able to welcome Bishop Cherian and his wife, Rev Sabi Mathew and his wife along with a spirited band of members of the Church of South India today. Bishop Cherian is visiting the UK for a week to conduct some confirmations as well as plant a new church in York. He took time out to visit the grave of Rev Benjamin Bailey, who remains revered in Kerala for the work he undertook translation the bible into Malayalam in the late 1800’s. It is wonderful to be able to keep this link alive.

Please take a look at our events and services for 2026!
Many thanks to Reverend Matthew Stafford for producing this handy guide to all that’s going on in Sheinton Church 🙌
Everyone is welcome to our services - and we hope to see you at some of our fundraisers too 😊
Also - we are actively seeking new members of the PCC (Parochial Church Council) - a committee which plans the life of our lovely church from year to year and looks after it. No experience necessary - but an interest in the heritage of ancient buildings, or in village community, or the Christian faith is always a help!
Do send us a message if you would like to get involved in community building/fundraising/church services. We’d love to have you in our friendly committee! And do share with anyone in the area you think might be interested! Many thanks!

Kate Innes - PCC Secretary 👍
