Our Second Hand Christmas 🎁

How was everyone's Christmas? I hope you all had a lovely day with people you love ❤️

I wanted to highlight some of the goodies that Father Christmas sourced for our daughters this year. As you know, I love gifting second hand when I can.

Admittedly, not all gifts were , but when I could find something I knew the girls would love, online or in charity shops, I would snap it up 😊

A couple of bits of advice for sourcing gifts online:
➡️ To avoid time wasters, look for ads with clear images, that show the complete condition of the items. From my experience, if someone hasn't gone to the trouble to take decent images, they generally won't be motivated to answer questions or send clearer imagery.
➡️ If you don't feel comfortable going to a strangers house to collect, dont be afraid to ask if they can a) post, if you cover postage costs b) meet up in a public place c) deliver to you. I am always happy to drop off locally when I'm in the area :-)

This Our Generation horse and doll was sourced through Facebook marketplace for £25. All in great condition!

When I asked my daughter, which has been her favourite Christmas gift, she said this horse. She absolutely loves it, so much so that it is sleeping in a toy cot next to her bed as I type this 🥰

Second hand really can be best when it comes to gifts 🎁

Rubies Reloved is branching out 🥰

As you know, we are predominantly all about preloved for kids here at Rubies Reloved HQ. But my soft spot for extends to pretty much everything!

After managing to source a lot of my 'stuff' second hand, I realised that SO much money can be saved for your special day, if you just look at instead!

We are going to be arranging a series of events in Shropshire throughout 2024 😊, and when the website launches, there will be a special section included!

This Bespoke, Lavender gown is something special! Handmade by amazing designer , it is a one-of-a-kind creation. Size 18/20, and selling for a fraction of its initial cost at £400.

🧸 Preloved Toys 🪀

It's no suprise that I am a massive fan of preloved toys! Some of my greatest and most satisfying finds have been toys in charity shops or Facebook marketplace.

Throughout my journey, I have discovered a few things:

🌟 Preloved may give you the impression of slightly scruffy looking, worn-out stuff....but you would be surprised just how immaculate some items can be!
🌟 Every time I have bought a combination of new and second-hand presents for my children, they have preferred the second-hand!
🌟 Even upon receiving charity shop finds that look a little tired, my kids have never once noticed or commented on the condition, they have been far too busy enjoying the toys ♥️

This toy bundle is currently for sale for £20, it includes: a rotating giraffe (fully working, should have 5 coloured balls but only 3 left), rocking stacker toy (only 2 out of 4 stackers), plunge toy and two wooden pull-along toys. All in fantastic condition! A brilliant toy bundle for 1-2yr old 🎁

Just Sold! 🥰

We have just sold this immaculate Silvercross Pioneer Complete Travel System, for a bargain £260! This travel system cost well over £1,000 new, so our buyer has certainly bagged a great deal 🙌
