Red Hot Stitchers and PICCPALS are getting together for a community sewing session on Sat 18th July 2026 10-12.30 at the Shoebury Hub.

RHS is also going to have machines for those that are learning to sew too.

A little update on our sewing group funds situation 👇

Thanks to all of you that have commented and shared about our group, and those of you that also kindly donated to help us out.

We have received over £170 in donations which has meant we have paid ( in full ) for our own insurance for the next 12 months, which drastically reduces our outgoings.

By spreading the word about our group we had a full house at our meet on 22nd June, it was such a lovely evening seeing new faces at group, everyone smiling and enjoying being creative, which is why our volunteers volunteer to help new people learn to sew 🥰

What a great way to start the weekend.
19 beautiful unique Boomerang bags were sewn up today during our free community sewing event at St.Marys Church hall Shoeburyness.

Big thanks to those that volunteered to help, and thanks to everyone that came along to sew we hope you all had a lovely morning.

We will be hosting a teaching session to create an origami fabric bag.

Our new bright,large friendly venue is St Mary’s Church Hall, North Shoebury Road, ( near Shoebury Asda. ) SS3 8UL.

There is a large free car parking area, which is accessed directly from North Shoebury Road along a short driveway. Park up and wander through the churchyard ( path on left ) to the hall directly behind the church.
