Wow what a response. The campaign to keep Long Compton Abattoir has received an amazing amount of support.

So far over 400 Expression Of Interest forms have been received and we are well on the way to raising the funds we require.

If you have completed an EOI form but have not received any correspondence please bare with us. As you can probably imagine this is a mammoth task, but be assured that there is a core team working on making this a success.

With the devastating news that Long Compton Abattoir is to close a group of farmers have setup an action group to save this essential rural business.

The abattoir has been in operation since the 1920’s and provides an essential service to farmers, butchers and farm shops from far and wide. If it is to close many rural business will become unviable, food miles will increase and animal welfare and environmental projects will suffer.

As a group we have set out to purchase the site and business in the form of share investments. This will safe guard the future of rural enterprises throughout Warwickshire, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.
