A two week 'Music for All' festival, of around 40-50 events, that happens each year in and around Shipston-on-Stour. Shipston on Stour Proms Music Festival sets out to put on a range of music for all tastes and ages, encouraging participation by as many local musicians as possible. The Festival is a non-profit organisation run by a small independent group of people to provide a platform for the am

azing array of talent in the area and beyond. The climax of the two week festival is a spectacular ‘Last Night of the Proms’ event in the High Street, which features a range of artists including the winners of the Shipston 'Fame’ contest, which runs throughout the fortnight. Previous ‘Last Nights’ have included Dr. Feelgood, Mike Sanchez, James Hunter, The Animals, The Hamsters, Geno Washington and The Ram Jam Band, Bob Marley tribute band, Legend, also the Blockheads.

From 19 June to 4 July, Shipston-on-Stour will once again come alive with music, entertainment and community spirit as Shipston Proms returns for its 28th year.

This year's programme features everything from classical music, folk, jazz and rock through to musical comedy, open mic nights, community concerts, the Shipston Pubs Trail, Ibiza-on-Stour, family events and our ever-popular Last Night of the Proms Street Party.

Whether you're planning to attend one event or fill your diary with two weeks of music and fun, now is the time to start planning.

Join us for a delightful afternoon of music as part of Shipston Proms 2026.

Following last year's hugely successful event, the talented Longborough Festival Opera Youth Company returns to Shipston for an open rehearsal of their forthcoming production of Hansel and Gretel.

This is a unique opportunity to experience the excitement of opera in the making and enjoy some wonderful young talent up close.

🎤 OPEN MIC NIGHT AT THE BLACK HORSE 🎶

Fancy performing in front of a friendly crowd? Whether you're a seasoned musician or it's your first time on stage, we'd love to hear from you at Open Mic Night at The Black Horse, Shipston-on-Stour, on Wednesday 1st July.

Hosted by local musician Barney Porter Music, the evening welcomes singers, songwriters and instrumentalists of all abilities. Play a couple of songs, perform your own material, or share your favourite covers. All musical styles are welcome.

A keyboard and microphones will be available, and performers are welcome to bring their own instruments. (Sorry, no drum kits due to set-up requirements.)

Not performing? Come along and enjoy a great evening of live music, community spirit and a well-stocked bar from Gabe and the team.

Join us for a fantastic evening of live folk music at The Black Horse, Shipston-on-Stour on Tuesday 23rd June from 7.30pm.

Leading the evening will be Keith Finlay and his ever-changing collective of musicians, Brimstone, joined by a selection of special guest performers. The night will also feature the ever-popular Shipston Shanty Group, who will be collecting donations in support of Shipston First Responders, along with local guitarist and singer Nick Nickerson performing a selection of Irish and Scottish favourites.

Entry is completely FREE, with donations welcome.

Looking for something a little different during this year's festival?

Join us for an evening of wit, songs, stories and laughter as three of the UK's finest musical comedians take to the stage at Townsend Hall.

Featuring:
🎤 Ronnie Golden – Comic Strip veteran and long-time collaborator of Barry Cryer
🎸 Richard Morton – one half of legendary comedy duo The Panic Brothers
🎹 Hannah Brackenbury – described as Brighton's answer to Victoria Wood

Ibiza Light brings the increasingly popular daytime clubbing experience to Shipston, giving you all the atmosphere, music and energy of Ibiza in the sunshine.

For those looking for a later session, Ibiza Night is strictly for over 18s and offers the same fantastic soundtrack and atmosphere after dark.

A limited number of family tickets are available for Ibiza Light. Please note that under 5s are not permitted at the daytime session.

Ibiza Night capacity is significantly smaller than last year's event and tickets are selling fast, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

⚠️ Tickets must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be available on the door.
⚠️ Alcohol purchased outside the venue cannot be brought onto site.

Get ready to kick off the 2026 Shipston Proms in true disco style at our Studio 54 Club Disco Night on Friday 19 June at Townsend Hall! ✨

Expect a full night of iconic disco classics, dancefloor anthems and feel-good party vibes as local DJ Anthony from Expressions Of Sound spins the tunes on vinyl 🎶

Great news from the Shipston Proms.
Tickets are now on sale on EVENTBRITE for the opening night on Friday June 19th at The Townsend Hall. The Studio 54 70s/80s Vinyl Disco🎶🎶🎶🎶

Start time is 8.00pm and there will be prizes for the best Fancy Dress. Anthony, owner of Shipston’s record shop, Expressions Of Sound, will be on the decks, along with other invited DJ’s.

So dust off those flares, squeeze into those platform shoes, wriggle into those sequinned dresses and get some sparkle on your face. This is going to be EPIC! 🎶🌈💃🏽🌈🎶🕺🏼🌈🎶🌈
