Although it became law in England in 2024, 23% of UK pet cats still aren’t microchipped*. That’s potentially over 3 million cats! 😢

Thankfully, Lillie isn’t one of them. Lillie went missing in February after a bad storm and her family was devastated. Six months later, the family got the best call ever... she had been found!

The team at Isle of Wight Cat Centre were called by a farmer to collect a cat who he had noticed hanging around. The team scanned her for a microchip and were overjoyed to find she had one with the correct contact details registered. Her owner sent us an update saying, ‘Lillie is settling into home life like she’s never been away.’

Lillie might have never been reunited with her family if it weren’t for her microchip. Learn more about getting your cat microchipped: https://www.cats.org.uk/microchipping-your-cat
