Shepton Mallet Rotary Club was chartered in 1949 and has been "making a difference" for 70 years, both in our own community in the Shepton Mallet area, in Somerset and around the world.

What a fantastic day at the Mid Somerset Show 2026! 🎉

Members of Shepton Mallet Rotary had a wonderful time selling raffle tickets, supporting the show and meeting so many lovely people throughout the day.

It was fantastic to see such a great turnout and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere.

At 4.30pm, our President, Keith Hazeldine, carried out the raffle draw. It was especially lovely to meet the lucky winners as they came along to collect their prizes! 🎟️🏆

A huge thank you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket and supported both the Mid Somerset Agricultural Show and Shepton Mallet Rotary. Your support means a great deal to us. 💙

🔔 Shepton Mallet Rotary Club – Presidential Handover 🔔

Shepton Mallet Rotary Club recently marked the official handover of the Presidency, as Keith Jenkin passed the chain of office to Keith Hazeldine, who takes on the role of President for 2026/2027.

Reflecting on his year as President (2025/2026), Keith Jenkin said:

"It has been a great privilege to serve the Club as President."

We would like to thank Keith for his dedication, leadership and commitment throughout the past year, and for everything he has done in supporting both the Club and the local community.

We now look forward to another rewarding and fulfilling year under Keith Hazeldine's leadership, continuing Rotary's tradition of friendship, service and making a positive difference within our community.

Congratulations, Keith, and best wishes for a successful year ahead.

Shepton Mallet Rotary Club has partnered with Wells Rotary Club to take 180 children from Avalon School, Brookside Academy and The Mendip School with 133 teachers and assistants to the Rotary Children's Fun Day at Longleat today

🎡 Rotary at the Royal Bath & West Show 🎡

What a fantastic few days at the Royal Bath & West Show!

Members of Shepton Mallet Rotary Club were proud to once again help provide the Children's Safety Bracelet service, helping families enjoy the show with added peace of mind.

It was wonderful to see so many visitors enjoying everything the show has to offer and to be part of such an important community event right here on our doorstep.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers, organisers, exhibitors and visitors who helped make this year's show such a success.

As Rotarians, we're proud to support initiatives that make a real difference to local families, and the Children's Safety Bracelet scheme is a great example of Service Above Self in action.

President Keith Jenkin was delighted to receive a cheque for £295 from Tesco Shepton Mallet, raised through book sales during February.

✨ Great night last night at the Crossways Hotel for the Shepton Mallet Rotary Club Foundation Dinner ✨

It was a truly lovely evening, with MP Tessa Munt delivering a thoughtful, engaging and community-focused after-dinner speech — a real highlight of the night.

A further special moment was Bob Thornton being awarded the Paul Harris Award in recognition of his amazing dedication and diligent service to Rotary Youth Speak 👏

Although we didn’t capture a photo on the night, we didn’t want this moment to go unrecognised — Bob was genuinely surprised and incredibly humble receiving his award.

A big thank you to fellow Rotarians for organising such a wonderful evening.

Congratulations Bob — very well deserved! 🎉
