On Monday May 11, Hertsmere Borough Council are holding an exhibition of the sites put forward in the Local Plan at Shenley Chapel. On Tues 12 May, Shenley Parish Council are holding a meeting to explain and discuss the Local Plan Process and the sites. A sad day for Shenley! Despite the strength of local concern and the significant policy conflicts raised during the debate, this scheme was approved on Thursday 12th Feb. We know how deeply residents care about Shenley and can only hope the developer will now engage positively with the community to resolve the remaining questions and ensure the scheme is delivered in a way that respects Shenley’s rural character and both new and existing residents.
