GRANT NEWS 🎶 We’re proud to continue supporting Urban Beat Academy CIC with a new grant to deliver an inspiring creative music programme for young people across Sheffield.

Based at Arundel Lane Studios, Urban Beat Academy CIC supports young people who are disengaged from mainstream education, at risk of exclusion, or vulnerable to crime and anti-social behaviour — using music as a tool for confidence, creativity, and positive change.

Our funding will support The Power of Music: A 2-Day Creative Programme, where 10–12 young people will take part in DJing, music production, and collaborative workshops to create an original piece of music.

Participants will also achieve an Arts Award Discover qualification, helping build pathways into further education, training, and the creative industries.

We’re excited to see the impact this project will have on young people in Sheffield 💛

Two powerful days in the studio with young people discovering what they’re capable of through music.

A huge thank you to The Sarah Nulty Power of Music Foundation for supporting this project at Arundel Lane Studios. Their grant made it possible for us to open the doors and deliver a two-day music experience for young people who are currently not in education, employment or training.

Across the sessions the studio was full of energy. Young people stepped behind the decks, learned the basics of DJing, explored music production and recorded their own ideas. For some it was their first time ever being in a real studio environment.

The most powerful part was watching confidence grow. Young people who walked in unsure of themselves left proud of what they had created, connecting with others and finding their voice through music.

This is what happens when young people are given a space to create and be heard.

We’re grateful to The Sarah Nulty Power of Music Foundation for backing projects like this and helping create opportunities that genuinely change lives.

Thank you for continuing Sarah’s legacy and helping us bring the power of music to the next generation.
