One of our neighbors (you may have heard of them, The Leadmill??) is being hired for an event on the 7th February and to facilitate this a council road closure will be organised.

There will be restricted vehicle and pedestrian access to Leadmill Road and the parking bays will be suspended.

Our doors will still be open!! Get in touch if you would like some alternative parking advice 🙂

Monthly reminder; yes its tedious, but it need only take ten minutes to set off the empty hot cycle and it'll help to keep your nappies and machine in tip top condition! So may as well get it over with, then pop the kettle on and pass that packet of biscuits!

Thoroughly un-glamorous post from us today, but with the weather increasingly cold and damp the subject of drying laundry is something we get asked about a lot........

Our top tip - regardless of whether you use cloth or not - is get some socktopus type gadgets!

There are loads of these on the market, they come in plastic/metal/wooden options, with any number of clips/pegs that you like.

These are mine at home; came in a two pack on Ebay, have something like 36 clips each, and fold flat for easy storage.

Such a space saver for hanging cloth wipes, fleece liners, boosters, flannels, burp cloths, muslins, all the tiny socks, anything small and fiddly associated with tiny people laundry basically!

Do you have some of these? Feel free to recommend your favourites in the comments....

Welcome to the South Yorkshire Nappy Library!

The South Yorkshire Nappy Library is a reusable cloth nappy library – it has been running for several years, and we became the custodians at the end of 2022. We now run this service from the Snug in Sheffield, home also to Sheffield Sling Surgery and Library

We provide parents and caregivers with access to a variety of cloth nappies in a kit, costing £30 for four weeks hire. This allows you to try out different styles and brands of cloth nappies to see which ones work best for your baby, without having to commit to purchasing a large quantity of nappies upfront.

We also offer support and advice if you are interested in using cloth nappies but are unsure of where to start or what brands you like. We hope to make the switch to cloth nappies less overwhelming and more satisfying for you!

We also run a weekly “nappy natter” drop in at our Stay and Play morning sessions at our Snug premises on Leadmill Road (you can also get some infant feeding and sling support here) where you can ask one of our team for some guidance and arrange to hire one of our kits. We provide you with comprehensive information on usage and washing etc, and are happy to answer your questions!

We look forward to welcoming you soon x

Beautiful reusable wipes available in Sling Spot - the baby carrier shop £16 for a mixed bundle of 10 wipes.

Handmade by MooMo Baby local to us in Sheffield, it’s a great feeling being small businesses supporting each other!

Lovely soft and fluffy on one side with fun jersey prints on the other - make wiping those grubby kiddos fun!!
