Tonight promises to be a great meeting of Worrall Men's Group! We have a performance by Goodnight D, Sheffield spoken word artist, as well as darts, dominoes, cards and lots of friendly chat. The fun starts at 7.00pm at the Blue Ball, get here early!

A number of us attended a great talk last night by Sheffield Home of Football. These guys do a brilliant job promoting our city as the birthplace of the modern game. The rules of football, the world's oldest club and oldest football ground were all established in Sheffield. We also invented passing, the crossbar, corner kicks and many more features of the modern game. SHOF hold many talks, walking tours and install blue plaques around the city commemorating key figures in the invention of the game.

We went on a very interesting guided walk on Wadsley and Loxley Common yesterday evening. Thanks to our guide Nick, who has an extensive knowledge of the Common, its history and topography. Afterwards we enjoyed refreshments at the Blue Ball, Worrall.
Our next meeting is on Tuesday 19 May, 7.00pm at the Blue Ball. New members are always welcome.

We are meeting later than usual tonight, 8.30pm at the Blue Ball Worrall. Before that, we are going on a guided walk on Loxley and Wadsley Common.

Thanks to Ray for organising a very entertaining "Connect 4" quiz last night!
Future events include a dinner at Sette Colli, a guided walk on Loxley and Wadsley Commons, crown green bowling and a snooker tournament.
