If you get into trouble in the water, remember:

Float to Live. πŸ’™

If you fall in or become tired, stay calm, float on your back, and call for help. If someone else is in trouble, throw them something that floats.

How to float:
β€’ Tilt your head back to keep your airway clear
β€’ Keep your ears submerged in the water
β€’ Relax and focus on your breathing
β€’ Spread your arms and legs to stay balanced
β€’ Gently move your hands and feet if needed

Learn more about floating in our Water Safety Code: www.rlss.org.uk/water-safety-code

RNLI has great Float to Live advice on their pages.

Another enormous well done and congratulations to our Rookie Bronze, Silver and last night the Gold awardees. Some weren’t able to collect their awards because of their focus on exams at the moment. Their excellent efforts in the 2025-26 club year. This is the second set of over 100 total awards to members for their efforts this year. Everybody has really tried their hardest and done really well at the club. A massive congratulations to all of them. πŸ‘πŸ‘

PLEASE BE WATER AWARE & SAFE

Given all the recent sad and tragic news in the past few days of the heatwave victims please bear in mind and be aware of how inviting and enticing a dip in cold water may seem. But such things as cold water shock can cause people to exhale sharply and their limbs become stiffer in very cold water.

Please be careful both kids and people when you think of getting into what seems like inviting cool water.

BE SAFE. TAKE CARE.
