Spectrum Active have some exciting news! Our play 'Spectrum Goes to Mars' will be playing on BBC Radio Sheffield on Friday 6th October 2023 between 6pm and 8pm.

As we are located in the heart of the city, our students
are able to easily access local attractions and facilities.

This week has been a bit up and down with the weather! But we did manage to get out and about to rough Walled Garden and have a lovely walk and picnic and a cold drink from the .

We are also working with different materials and we have started on a felt blanket with the students putting on their own unique designs 😁

Its typical British weather this week! Meaning we have had a mix of activities this week to keep us entertained. We got out an about with a lovely , got our hats on and did a session where we learned about ancient history!

Last week we celebrated Learning disability week! Our students attended an art exhibition hosted by Mencap. We looked into who we are, the history of our names and what shapes us as people.

We are looking for volunteers for Spectrum Active; a Not for Profit organisation which provides day opportunities for adults with learning and support needs.
The role will involve supporting our students in a range of programmed activities.
We aim to ensure all our volunteers receive relevant experience and training whilst with us, and endeavour to offer employment opportunities wherever possible.
