We’re kicking off a series of sneak peeks at the layouts coming to our 2026 exhibition!

First up is 'Tiptree', a OO gauge layout primarily set in 1912 during the Great Eastern Railway era. To mix things up, it can also be run depicting the line 50 years later in 1962.

Make sure to pop by and check it out at the show on the 24th and 25th of October, and keep an eye on our page over the coming weeks as we highlight more of the fantastic layouts and traders lined up for this year!

A few quick snaps from the 72010 Hengist open day at Diamond Engineering in Sheffield today. Hengist is a new-build BR Standard Class 6 locomotive of which none survived into preservation. 72010 also shares the building with fellow new-build B17 61673 Spirit of Sandringham.

Further details for both projects can be found here:

Some rare Woodhead action on the club layout last night. You'll have to imagine the catenary 😂

A fantastic example of club member Ed's custom built controller and coreless motor combo in action, giving DCC style smooth acceleration on DC control. Not forgetting this is N gauge!
