“I feel like I’ve been treated like a person.”
Of the tens of thousands of pieces of feedback we’ve received at the Flower 125 Health Programme, this is the one that hits the hardest.
Why does being treated like a person have to be a special and notable thing?
Last week, while watching Adolescence, I kept coming back to this thought. People not being treated like people. No one having the time to pay attention. No one being truly seen. When did we become so impossibly busy that we lost our way?
I started my career working in a male prison with juvenile offenders and spent 20 years in criminal justice—as a practitioner, a researcher, and an advocate. Adolescence didn’t shock me. It immeasurably saddened me.
That’s why I'm passionate about the Flower 125 Health Programme—because it creates spaces where there seem to be none. It prioritises care, listening, and attention.
Because when we don’t, harm follows.
If this resonates with you, maybe it’s time to try something new.
🌍 Our next Online Training starts 17 April. It’s open to anyone across the globe who can make the time.
