Great idea to have our meeting at Wired Coffee and Cake this morning with Chris from Our Creative Connection. Funding from WYCA Seasons of Culture to promote Honley's Natural Spaces for the community and visitors to the area.
We will be working with schools and community groups, and holding a community meeting and shaping the project shortly. Thanks Katie and Oliver for helping with Honley info we needed x

We're looking for volunteers, activity providers and local organisations to help make this year's International Day of Older People a fantastic community celebration on Thursday 1st October 2026.

The Pen*stone Ageing Well Network is planning a day filled with talks, tours, information stalls and taster activities across two welcoming venues: 📍 St John's Community Centre 📍 St John the Baptist Church, Pen*stone

Whether you'd like to: ✅ Volunteer for a few hours ✅ Welcome and support guests on the day ✅ Run a taster session or activity ✅ Host an information stall

We'd love to hear from you!

This is a wonderful opportunity to come together, celebrate older people in our community, and showcase the fantastic services, groups and activities available locally.

The Fringe at Tramlines (in addition to Tramlines Festival) returns to Sheffield city centre for 2026, with Devonshire Green once again hosting the Main Stage.

Perfect day for and Pen*stone Line Partnership is here with a brand new train game, and we are making paper mosaic Peacock butterflies for an installation at Station. Come find us in the Countryside Area at the very bottom of the field near the rabbit petting area. Lots of Natural Kirklees members showcasing sustainable and nature-based activities. We are part of the (Wasp) trail too. We are giving away railway colouring books, rail safety, and a children's storybook, part of a Pen*stone Line Storybook Trail about Jonah's Journey.
Thanks for stopping by Headway Huddersfield and District soon to be adopters at Lockwood and Honley High School station adopters at Honley who are going to create butterflies for their platform installation too.
Our nature-based projects can now expand as PLP and Our Creative Connection has West Yorkshire Combined Authority funding approved and we can work with local nature-based groups in the Honley and Holme Valley area.
