This is not donating it’s fly tipping.
If it won’t go in the donation bins and no one is in the building to take your things in then please don’t leave them outside.
The things left get wet, dirty and strewn around by people wanting to see what’s in the bags/boxes.
It’s getting too much for the few volunteers we have. It costs us time and money to dispose of this mess and it’s happening almost daily now.

Please be sensible about donating.
Please don’t go through the donations and leave a mess
Please don’t leave electrical items, we can’t sell them on. ( especially if they are covered in food, broken and or dirty)

🎉 Celebrating a Brilliant Start to the Summer Activities with Our Community Partners! 🎉

We’ve had a great time joining in with our community partners to deliver summer activities for families across our community.
From sports and crafts to shared meals. it’s been a joy to see families laughing, connecting, and making memories together.

Huge thanks to the staff, volunteers, partner organisations of the Pat Midgley Community Hub for the invite to join in. Also all the families who came along and got stuck in.
Community really does shine brightest when we do things together.

Firepit Update for Thursday Night 🔥

Just a heads up. Fire-pit at Sheffield Castle Salvation Army is a bit different this month.
Instead of the usual fire and chat, we’re watching a film together and having food.

Come along, get comfy, and enjoy a relaxed night with good company.

Statement of Disappointment & Safety Reminder

I’m very disappointed that someone would put the safety of our volunteers at risk.
We need to be absolutely clear: we do not accept any medical waste or used needle bins at our charity shop.

Our volunteers give their time, energy, and kindness every single day. They should never have to deal with dangerous items that could harm them.

If you have medical waste or used sharps, please dispose of them safely through the proper medical waste services provided by the council or NHS.
If you have regular donations, we’re always grateful, just make sure they’re safe and suitable for our team.

Thank you for helping us keep everyone protected and our shop a welcoming place for all.

One of our youngest church members told her dad about her favourite song. He came over and shared, with that proper proud parent grin, that her favourite song at the moment is Waymaker by Tyson James.

There’s something brilliant about hearing what’s shaping the faith and imagination of our kids. Even second‑hand, that spark of joy travels. It’s class seeing young ones latch onto songs that speak hope, strength, and God’s presence in their own way.

Little moments like this remind me how faith keeps moving through the generations, sometimes quietly, sometimes loudly, sometimes through a parent passing on the update, but always with heart.

We’ll be making fantastic Father’s Day shirts that you can decorate and give as a special gift to your dad or someone who’s been there for you.
It’s creative, it’s fun, and it’s a brilliant way to say “thanks” in your own style.

Father’s Day Celebration

This Sunday we’re celebrating fatherhood in every shape and story, dads, grandads, step‑dads, foster dads, spiritual dads, men who mentor, men who show up, and men who’ve been a steady presence when it mattered most.

And yes… bacon and sausage sandwiches will be sizzling away, because it wouldn’t be Father’s Day without a proper treat.

Whether this day brings joy, pride, mixed feelings, or a bit of ache, you’re welcome.
Come as you are. Bring a mate. Bring the kids. Or just bring your appetite.

Let’s honour the men who’ve shaped us, supported us, and stood by us, in big ways and quiet ones.

We’d love to see you there.

We’re getting ready to celebrate Father’s Day this Sunday!
All dads, grandads, step‑dads, foster dads, spiritual dads, father‑figures, every form of fatherhood is welcome and appreciated.

Come and join us for a bacon buttie 🥓 and a small gift as we say thank you to the men who’ve shaped us, supported us, and stood by us.

And to help us get in the mood… here’s a little throwback to 2010 and the legendary Dad Rap, because some things never get old 😄
