Sheffield Gaelach

Sheffield Gaelach Information for members of the Sheffield Irish Language Group and anyone else speaking or interested in learning Irish in Sheffield. Dia dhaoibh, a chairde!

This is a page for members of the Sheffield Irish Language Group, and anyone else speaking Irish or interested in learning in Sheffield. We are an informal group of learners (and a few native speakers) led by Dr. Kaarina Hollo of the University of Sheffield, sponsored and supported by the Sheffield Irish Association. Our group includes learners from across all levels of experience and ability, wit

h teaching on the night for beginners and for more advanced learners. We meet every Monday from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at:

The Grapes
80 Trippet Lane
Sheffield
S1 4EL

All are welcome and classes are free of charge. The pub kindly sets aside a back room for us, so it is a friendly and informal atmosphere in which to learn. Contact Kaarina Hollo ([email protected]) for more information, or leave a message on the page here. For more information on the Irish language and people in Sheffield:
