We're delighted to share that Sheffield United Community Foundation's Nature Based Blades programme has been shortlisted for the International Sport Positive Awards 2026! In not just one, but two categories:

🌳Biodiversity Project of the Year
📚Education and Training Programme of the Year

It's an honour to be recognised alongside some incredible organisations, with six finalists in each category.

A huge thank you to all of the NBB participants, schools and community groups who have supported the programme and helped demonstrate the positive impact that nature-based solutions can have on a local community!

Huge congratulations to our first group of learners who have completed their Introduction to Coaching Leadership course!

This was a brilliant opportunity for learners to develop their social confidence, communication skills and coaching abilities, helping to put them in a stronger position for future employment.

It was brilliant to work alongside Football Unites-Racism Divides- FURD, whose local expertise and referrals helped make the programme a success, as well as SYMCA, whose funding helped make these opportunities possible.

Well done to everyone involved, and we look forward to seeing what the learners go on to achieve!

We were delighted to welcome Home Office representatives to our holiday camps, offering a glimpse into the many impactful programmes delivered by the Foundation!

Children on our camps were also treated to a visit from our gaming bus, as we continue to use this as an exciting vehicle for community engagement.🤝
