Blade spotted out in the wild!⚔️

Our Community College lion cub, ‘Blade’, is now proudly on display inside Ponds Forge as part of the Pride of Yorkshire event🦁

You can catch Blade and its fellow lions on display up until 7th September, with all proceeds going to Sheffield Children's Hospital NHS and Charity ❤️

Last week, Bradfield School's Nature Based Blades group visited the Mondelēz International International factory to learn about sustainability within the confectionery industry🍬

As part of their current project, the group is developing their own sustainable sweets to highlight the significant food miles and carbon emissions often associated with the production and distribution of confectionery.

During the visit, the team at Mondelez gave us a fascinating insight into how they are working to reduce carbon emissions, improve sustainable food production, and develop more environmentally friendly packaging solutions.

Inspired by what we learned, we'll be creating our sweets using plant-based pectin instead of animal-derived gelatin and incorporating locally sourced fruit juices to further reduce their environmental impact. We can't wait to put what we've learned into practice! 🌱♻️

Sheffield United Community Foundation welcomed members of Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice's siblings group down to Bramall Lane! ⚔

The group enjoyed taking part in various activities within our Esports suite, playing different games and even had an opportunity to practice their lap times on our F1 Simulator 🏎🎮
