🌿 Stradbroke Together – Speaking Up for Stradbroke (Update)

Following on from our recent posts, we wanted to share a quick update with residents.

On our recent walk about, It was incredibly valuable to see issues first-hand and talk openly about the concerns affecting daily life here in Stradbroke.

We’ll now be holding regular walkabouts with partners to keep the momentum going and ensure residents’ voices continue to be heard.

We’re really encouraged that more and more residents are joining us, sharing concerns and ideas about how we can improve our community together. By working closely with the relevant organisations and sharing information, we can take positive steps to tackle:
• Antisocial behaviour
• Drug dealing
• Fly-tipping and littering
• Financial abuse of vulnerable residents
• And the general loss of pride in our estate

Our goal is simple – to help get Stradbroke back to being the safe, respectful and proud community many of us remember and still believe in.

This is about standing together, supporting one another, and creating lasting change for everyone who lives here.

Reporting concerns:
• Report crime via 📞 101 or online at www.southyorks.police.uk
• Report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 📞 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org
• Report antisocial behaviour to Sheffield City Council at www.sheffield.gov.uk/asb
• Or pass information to us by messaging this page
• You can also contact The Link Community Hub directly if you’d like further information or support

Together, we can make a difference. 💙

It was great to be part of a walkabout around our community today and to have the opportunity to talk about how we can all work together on the issues we face.

Thank you to Sheffield City Council officers, South Yorkshire Police and East Area Committee officers for joining us – and a special thanks to our local councillor Dianne Hurst for arranging the day.

Today was just the first step in making our community a safer and nicer place for everyone.

If you’d like more information or want to get involved, please get in touch with us here at The Link Community Hub 💙

🌿 Stradbroke Together

Speaking up for Stradbroke

Over the past few years, many residents have told us how much Stradbroke has changed – and not for the better. We hear daily about antisocial behaviour, crime, and a loss of respect that leaves many people feeling unsafe in their own community. Women tell us they are fearful of leaving their homes, and vulnerable people are at risk.

But we also hear the same message repeated: “We want our community back – the way it used to be, when people had pride in Stradbroke and respect for one another.”

That’s why, through the Stradbroke Tenants and Residents Association and The Link Community Hub, we are launching a new initiative:

✨ Stradbroke Together – Speaking Up for Stradbroke ✨

This group will:
• Work with residents – giving everyone a voice and a platform to share concerns and ideas.
• Partner with local businesses, organisations, local Councillors, our local MP, the police, housing officers and Sheffield City Council and Sheffield City Council Area Committees – to tackle antisocial behaviour, reduce crime, and rebuild pride in our area.
• Stand together as one voice – making sure issues are heard at the highest levels and positive change is driven forward.
• Develop a strategic plan – setting clear priorities and actions to bring Stradbroke back to being a safe, proud, and thriving place to live.

We’re proud to share that the Director of Housing is visiting us soon, recognising the seriousness of local concerns and the importance of working together on solutions.

This is just the beginning. With your voice, your support, and your involvement, we can make Stradbroke a community we are all proud to call home once again.

✨ If you’d like to be part of this journey of positivity and change, we’d love to hear from you!
