They say the White Rose blooms with pride
On every Yorkshire breeze,
From windswept moors to city streets,
Through mills and woodland trees.

It blooms in Sheffield's honest graft,
In Leeds where business grows,
In Hull beside the Humber tide
The White Rose always shows.

It blooms in York's old cobbled lanes,
In Bradford's pots of spice,
In Barnsley where they'll help thee out...
But first they'll give advice.

It blooms in Whitby's harbour walls,
In Skipton's market square,
In Donny when the races call,
And Harrogate's fresh air.

Tha'll hear an "Ey up!" down the road,
A "Ta, love," "How's tha bin?"
And every brew tastes twice as good
Wi' Yorkshire Tea bags in.

At Efficiency North we're proud
To work for Yorkshire folk,
Building better homes and places,

📢 We're thrilled to announce that EN:Communities' new Community Foundation Fund is open for applications! 📢

Please share the news so the funding reaches those who need it most.

The fund has a total pot of £250,000 to give to charities and groups that are reducing poverty and/or supporting healthy living in their local communities.

Charities and groups can apply for a grant of up to £5,000 to purchase equipment and items.

Projects with greater need and larger impact may be eligible for higher levels of funding. Trustees will also consider a small number of grants up to the value of £25,000.

The funding pot has been gifted to our charity from our specialist procurement arm EN:Procure to celebrate EN:Communities 10th anniversary.

We’re delighted to tell you that Nathan Brown our Assistant Framework Manager has been chosen as one of this year’s Top 30 Under 30 young professionals in South Yorkshire.

Nathan joined our team in 2019 as an apprentice in Construction and the Built Environment through Enable Futures, studying at Leeds College of Building. He secured a permanent role as Assistant Framework Manager when he completed his apprenticeship in 2020. He completed his BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying at Leeds Beckett University whilst working full time, maintaining a high level of performance and exceptional resilience in the face of personal and health challenges.

We’re excited that this accolade will give him access to the Leadership Excellence Acceleration Programme (LEAP) programme led by industry experts in leadership, self-development and communication alongside a cohort of his peer young professionals from local organisations including Keepmoat, Gleeson Homes, Rotabroach, Premier Foods, Insight & Strata.

Nathan is one of many talented younger members of our team whose careers we’re proud to invest in, support and nurture for the benefit of the housing and construction industry and the South Yorkshire region which has nurtured our organisation's success.

We're really pleased to support our friends at Help 4 Homeless Veterans with this fantastic project. When they approached us for help we knew we could provide the professional knowledge and services to get the home ready. We've always been inspired by the work of CEO Bentham-Bates and founder Wood and the team of trustees and volunteers.
