We had an extremely kind donation from the family of long term band member, Ernest Vickers, last night and are now the proud owners of a very nice trombone and euphonium (which was much needed). 🎺

Ernest was part of the band for many many years, and was a fervent supporter of the band even after 'retiring'.

He even hand-wrote the music for all of our Local Loxley Christmas Carol books, from which the band still play every Christmas! 🎄 Many members of the band have fond memories of Ernest, and his legacy lives on even with those who never crossed his path.

A massive thank you to Ernest's family for donating their instruments. It's so thoughtful and means that Ernest will remain part of the band and help others continue to play for years to come. ❤️

As we can no longer do our concert tomorrow we thought we'd share some more snippets from the last one. Here's a tune to get you in the mood for the bank holiday. 🕺🏼

It's a clip of '12 to 12' which is a newly published arrangement from our very own bass trombonist!! 🎺
