Hillsborough Mind We are a charity shop helping to raise awareness for better mental health

Mental health affects everyone in different ways, it’s important every day 🗓️

But right now, long waits are making help harder to access and sometimes the right support isn’t available at all.

We aren't just fighting for mental health on World Mental Health Day - through our information, services and campaigns, we spend every day tackling stigma, barriers and isolation so everyone can get the right support at the right time.

Here are some of our support options available for you this World Mental Health Day 💙

These years are some of the most formative years of your life. If you ask for help you should be able to access it quickly. Especially as early help can make a life-changing difference.

Let’s talk about Men’s mental health today 💙

We’re sharing an except from a powerful poem, written by our Senior Peer Recovery Worker, Kevin Saunders, which seems an appropriate tribute to Ricky Hatton who fought tirelessly for mental health.

Through his advocacy and courage in his own personal fight, he showed that it’s okay to speak openly about mental health by sharing about his own struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts.

We’re here for anyone who needs us – if you or somebody you know is struggling in Hampshire, please reach out today. Our Safe Haven and Lighthouse crisis centres across Southampton and South West Hampshire are open 365 days of the year from 5-11pm and you can attend in person, online or via phone for support.

Visit our website for more details:

Its going to be a full house – literally standing room only – and we have been delighted by the response with delegates attending from across the country

Thanks to all the staff and service users in the Magpies team that have helped put this event together and thanks to all the speakers who have given up their precious time to take part.

Fancy a night out?
Well get your glad rags sorted and get your tickets bought for the at the Phoenix Grove In . organised by the Sheffield based Empower Hair and Beauty Academy Ltd.

We spoke to Louise from the Empower Hair and Beauty Academy Ltd, the brains behind the event, and she told us, 'We're raising awareness and supporting mental health through the power of performance, and we’d love for you to be part of it!'

The dress code states that punters should be BAFTA-inspired red carpet ready, so best frocks all round!

This is a ticket only event so you need to get yours pronto!

Proceeds from the event will be donated to and Andys Man Club and we couldn't be more grateful. We know that events like this take a LOT of time and effort and we are grateful to Louise and her team and all the performers who will be taking part, for their support and commitment.

Break a leg everyone!
