St John Fisher Sheffield PTFA

💙 Thank you to everyone who joined us for our AGM yesterday! ❤️

It was lovely to see so many of you there and to have the opportunity to reflect on everything our PTFA has achieved over the past year.

A very special thank you to our Co-Chairs, Jess and Kerri, who have now stepped down from their roles. We are incredibly grateful for all the time, energy and dedication they have given to our PTFA and our school community.

They are now passing the baton to our new Co-Chairs, Kirsty and Cheryl! 🎉

We’re also delighted to welcome three new committee members to the PTFA team. It’s fantastic to have some new faces joining us, bringing fresh ideas, enthusiasm and energy for the year ahead!

We’ll be sharing details of our new committee in due course, so watch this space! 👀

Here’s to another year of fundraising, fun, community and making a difference for our children.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our PTFA — we couldn’t do it without you!

Why is our PTFA AGM important?

When you hear AGM, it can sound a little formal… but for our St John Fisher PTFA, it’s actually a really important opportunity for our school community to come together. 🏫✨

As a registered charity, our AGM is a chance to:

📌 Look back at what we’ve achieved – from fundraising events and discos to our Summer Fayre and the projects we’ve supported throughout the year.

💰 See where the money raised has gone – and how our fundraising has directly benefited the children at St John Fisher.

🌱 Talk about what’s next – including our plans to improve and develop areas of the school, such as creating exciting, imaginative outdoor spaces for our Reception children.

🙋‍♀️ Welcome new ideas and volunteers – our PTFA is powered by parents, carers, staff and friends of the school, and we’re always looking for people who can get involved in whatever way works for them.

🤝 Make sure our charity is well run – the AGM allows us to review our finances, committee roles and plans for the year ahead, helping us remain transparent and accountable.

Most importantly, the PTFA belongs to our whole school community.

You don’t need to be on the committee, have lots of spare time or know anything about running a charity. Even coming along, sharing an idea or offering to help at one event can make a difference.

Every pound we raise and every hour volunteered ultimately goes towards making school life happier, safer and more enriching for our children.

We’d love to see as many parents and carers as possible at our AGM.

📅 5th October
📍 St John Fisher Catholic Primary School

Come along, find out what we’ve achieved, hear about our plans and, most importantly, be part of your children’s school community.

Together, we can make a difference.

But we want to do even more! 💙❤️

The PTFA is your parent association, and we’d love to hear your ideas about what you’d like to see at St John Fisher.

You don’t need to commit to joining the committee just because you come along. You can simply come, listen, ask questions, share an idea or find out how you could get involved in a way that works for you.

And if you are interested in becoming more involved, we’d absolutely love to have you! 🙌

📅 Date: 5th October
⏰ Time: 3:30pm

Every parent, carer and family member is welcome.

Together, we can continue to make a real difference to school life for all our children. ❤️💙

⚽🏆 What an incredible achievement!

On behalf of the PTFA, we'd like to say a huge congratulations to all of our amazing young footballers who represented our school at the Catholic Cup.

We are so proud of every single one of you. Our girls brought home the cup, and our boys also had a fantastic tournament, showing great determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout.

It's especially lovely to see the new football nets, recently funded by the PTFA, already playing a small part in supporting our children's love of the game and helping them develop their skills.

A big thank you to the staff and coaches for their dedication, and to the families who cheered the teams on every step of the way.

Well done, everyone – you've made our whole school community incredibly proud! 💙💛

Our friends at the church are getting ready for their much-loved annual Summer Fete, and as always, everyone is warmly invited!

Join them on Saturday 27 June at Spring Avenue Community Centre right next to our school, for a fun-filled day with activities, entertainment, refreshments, stalls, and plenty of opportunities to catch up with friends and neighbours.

It's always a fantastic community event, and we hope many of our school families will be able to pop along and support it.

We look forward to seeing you there! ☀️🎉

We've been kindly asked to share the attached donation appeal for refugees❤️

While this is not a collection being organised by the PTFA, we're happy to share it with our school community for anyone who may wish to support this worthwhile cause.

If you'd like to get involved, please see the poster for further details and contact the organisers directly.

Thank you for your kindness and support.
