Sheffield First Aid Society We're the first aid society for the Uni of Sheffield, spreading first aid skills among students! Message us for more info!

We hold weekly meeting where we learn about different First Aid topics in an interactive, accessible and hands-on way, as well as holding scenario nights, hosting external speakers and enjoying socials! Our society members are students at both of Sheffield's universities and study a variety of courses - from Mechanical Engineering to Medicine, Psychology to Spanish - anyone is welcome to join, no

matter your previous first aid experience. And as we're also a student branch of St John Ambulance, we can offer you fantastic volunteering opportunities with the nation's leading first aid charity.

In todays session we look at siezures and actions to take when someone is having a seizure as well as post seizure assessment of the person. We also look into possible reasons that can trigger a seizure.

Answer from last week: Always check aspects of medication including: expiration dates, ingredients and dosage are just some of the things you should check before taking any medication.
