The Trussell Trust is a Christian Trust committed to restoring waste places, be they individuals or communities, by launching life changing sustainable projects. Handsworth Foodbank works in partnership with local churches, charities, statutory and non-statutory organisations and agencies to provide emergency food for local people in crisis. Handsworth Foodbank issues food parcels on a referral on
ly basis. Foodbank vouchers are issued by professionals from statutory and voluntary organisations such as doctors, health visitors, social workers, Citizens Advice Bureau staff, welfare officers, who identify people in crisis. Clients then bring their voucher to the foodbank where it can be exchanged for three days supply of emergency food
